Sure the Batman demo was 2 gb, that's nothing these days.
I might actually try to get BF2 to run properly, fucking lack of widescreen and annoying server listings almost always made me a bit annoyed. Not to mention punkbuster is a fucking joke of a anti-cheat.
• Added Battlefield 2142 style prone deviation (going prone will now cause reduced accuracy for a brief period)
Yay! No more "first to prone and shoot wins" encounters...
I also forgot to mention in the news post that this patch will be about 2GB in size.
well yea it's going to be big. it includes both of the booster packs.
This pleases me.
Do some places still sell BF2? I have 2142 but I never installed it.
what the fuck is with these dogs in you guys avatars?
Do some places still sell BF2? I have 2142 but I never installed it.
amazon, ea's download service etc
• Allowed BF2.exe to use more than 2Gb RAM
Shit damn !
Are the booster packs the equivalent of expansion packs?
Are the booster packs the equivalent of expansion packs?
they're more like mini expansion packs or DLC (had they been released now they would be DLC), there was a proper expansion pack for BF2.
amazon, ea's download service etc
Some stores sell it bundled with all the boosters and expansions.
• Added Widescreen support
• Allowed BF2.exe to use more than 2Gb RAM
Oh SWEET! i was Just about to buy the packs
They added Novint falcon support? I'm going to have to get one of those one of these days.

Nothing can win mouse in an fps game.

That is true, but it would be neat to try out.

Sure, it's just so expensive for a thing that's funny for a few minutes.
Oh god yes, but 2GB T_T
Just proof that those booster packs with close to nothing of new shit is a ploy to get our money. I'm glad I didn't buy it from those faggots.

Hooray for free content!
Oh god yes, but 2GB T_T
What's wrong with that?
Also every byte is like free...
Wow EA sucks, not for the patch but look at this page: http://www.ea.com/games/battlefield-2-complete-collection
Why the fuck would i pay $30 for BF2 and all the packs when i can buy BF2 itself for bout $5 and then get the patch? lol
[editline]01:06PM[/editline]
Other then that though, the patch is great! :D
Nice, I'm glad that I'm cheap and never bought the packs.
Also, Widescreen Support, FUCK YES.
I wonder if it will fix the punkbuster issues in Windows 7.
Punkbuster :saddowns:
Awesome? YES! Too bad i got the pirated version, I NEED TO GO BUY IT!

My BF2 cd has a small crack near the center, and I won't risk using it becuase it might shatter, destroying my entire drive.
Zee is a sad panda. :C
Having widescreen is nice, but why can't they fix the HUD stretching that comes with it?

Don't risk it. I had that happen with my UT2004 Play Disc. It exploded in the drive. Thankfully Epic made it so you didn't need the play disc to play the game.

Surely this will be in the patch ?
I wonder if the Punkbuster and Steam issue will be fixed as well. I can't play online while running the game through Steam.
The one thing I am most interested in, is the prone deviation, because now PR will finally be able to mod it.
Hooray! Also widescreen support :Iia:
