Better Vista support. Sounds good. That's the whole reason I uninstalled it in the first place, because it never seemed to work with Vista. At least, not when I tried it. They probably fixed a lot of it some how but I never got around to re-installing it.

Nice they're still supporting the game.
Now improve it by removing that abomination called punkbuster and getting rid of the ranking system or making it possible for anyone to host a ranked server.

As soon as it's up we must get some FP servers going.
I uninstalled this yesterday, my favourite patch updates:
• Added Widescreen support
• Tweaked the hit detection, hits will be more accurate to the model.
• Added checks to prevent "runway grieving".

It's funny because I knew how to run my BF2 in windscreen :V. I feel sad now that I paid for the booster packs and now they are free... I mean why don't they just make BF2 SF free too? :3 (My special EDITION of BF2 and BF2 SF broke >:|)

You can run BF2 in widescreen right now: right click the icon -> properties -> and in the target box make it look like this

That's Vert - widescreen, where the top and bottom of a 4:3 screen is trimmed to look 16:10 or 16:9. Take Bioshock or Far Cry 2 for example.

I imagine Special Forces will be needed as that's an expansion, not a "booster" pack.
