You get a larger feild of view. the only thing that isn't adjusted is the hud, the actual 3D enviroment will be at what res you put in the shortcut

Not in the last time I ran BF2 1.41. I took a cap at 1024x768 and then 1680x1050 and unsurprisingly, the screen has been cut vertically to fit a widescreen display.

Not the last time I looked.
Last I looked it had maybe 15/20 servers left and only about 8 that had decent pings and a decent amount of players.
Tried it about 2 months ago.

He has 0.3 mb/s./ I have 2 mbs internet and I get 235 kb/s download speeds. that means he gets roughly 35 kb/s download speed. If you work it out it's around 16 hours to download 2 GB at 35 kb/s download speeds where as at 300 kb/s download speeds it takes around 2 hours (if you do the math).
Hmm...glad I never bothered buying the booster packs...

Sad story though back when i had a shitty computer i didnt know anything about computers so i bought the game with mah hard earned 30 dollars and couldnt run it for a year. I'm rating myself dumb for back then.

Not as bad as me buying a 8800GTS which couldn't fit in my motherboard.
Use WidescreenFixer in conjunction with the commands to fix the FOV so nothing is cut off.
they need to fix the fact you can jump through the air and dodge bullets, fixing the prone was a good start

The patch is out now, probably best getting it via torrent (or Rapidshare/similar if you use something like that like I do) as the load on the servers appears to be pretty large at the moment judging by the speeds.
