So maple syrip increases intellegence
Israel is 2nd, Finland is 10th and Norway is 7th? What the hell is with this list. It just screams bullshit to me.
Proud student of CPU program in Malaysia.
So maple syrip increases intellegence
also helps you spell syrup
Where's Sweden on that list, and how did USA get on it?
"list doesn't suit my expectations, must be wrong"
US is #4? Right, I don't trust this, at all. Last time I checked, you guys couldn't even bloody teach biology correctly in the States.
You people seem to forget how hard it is to get into college in Europe. In England you have A Levels to get in, and in Germany come 5th grade they put you in one of 3 schools, with only the top one (maybe the second level too, don't know honestly) going to college. In America, and Canada I assume as well, high school doesn't affect going to college much. It may decide which college you go to, but if I pass through High School .01 GPA above the fail limit, I can guarantee you at least one college would take me, even if it's a joke. And yeah, this isn't about quality, but quantity.

Canada: America's very very very smart hat.
Most people in the u.s. get shit degrees that aren't even applicable to getting a good career anyway, why are we 4th? I call bullshit.
That research doesn't count the degree qualities, just % of people with degrees.
LOL Mericans cent b on teh list cuz they r dum XD
oh fucking get educated on the US, please. i doubt the United States couldn't bloody teach biology considering the United States is where most of the Biotech industry lies.
Just wondering, but why do so many people in the USA think the theory of evolution is false? It can't be because there are so many theists in the USA, else the situation in Italy would be about the same.
Just wondering, but why do so many people in the USA think the theory of evolution is false? -snip the rating was for universitise, not schools- Well, the university is expensive in Europe and world. It's cheap here, however you will need luck finding one.
We have the bible belt bringing us down.
At least 10% of all Americans ''rejects'' science and almost 50% rejects evolution. How come it's on the list of the 10 most educated countries in the world?

Just wondering, but why do so many people in the USA think the theory of evolution is false?
Where are you people getting these "facts" and numbers from anyway? Granted, there are a majority of religious people in the US but I'm still curious as to where these numbers you people pull out are coming from. I doubt 50% of the American population rejects evolution. America isn't that backwards on science you know. [editline]2nd February 2012[/editline] thisispain provided a link, thanks.
Don't underestimate the Ivy Leagues.
I'd expected more Scandinavian countries on the list.
I'd expected more Scandinavian countries on the list.
especially Sweden
Sweden Schweden.
Wow, Israel is more educated than Japan. I am mildly surprised.
me big smart
What is this... Finland, Norway.... Sweden? SWEDEN? Bullshit.

[editline]2nd February 2012[/editline] thisispain provided a link, thanks.
Here's a shiny graph: Although this graph probably isn't as correct as article in thisispain's link, because they only asked ~1000 per country and there are huge differences in the populations of these countries. Probably would have been more correct if they asked the same percentage per country, but in my opinion it still shows that there are more people in the USA who believe it is false.
4th? Seriously? Well with the way the US is treating teachers and over using state testing lately, the US will probably drop painfully in the future.
I though the thread said The 10 Most Uneducated Countries in the World. I wasn't surprised to see my country as the 4th. The surprise came in when I saw I misread the title. :v:
LOL Mericans cent b on teh list cuz they r dum XD
Sorry but this time it's not just dissing. It's worse: Cold Hard Facts.
Also if people are wondering about Israel, they have some really good universities/colleges for example http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hebrew_University_of_Jerusalem Einstein was on their board of governors. And http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technion_-_Israel_Institute_of_Technology has some international prestige with advancements and so forth, their education is not that bad. Though their ranking in the article is abnormally high. . .
