They were hired to be vocalists and didn't even know what metal was before that. I don't even think they have anything to do with making the music either. It's just business.

This pretty much sounds like any song from an Arc System Works game with vocals added. It's not that weird in my opinion.

I find something incredibly jarring about the juxtaposition of lady gaga's avant-garde image and persona with her rather run-of-the-mill pop music Why doesn't she collab with John Zorn or The Residents. Or even Mike Patton. IDK.

I never got the Internet's constant obsession with calling anybody who vaguely likes anything Japanese a 'weeaboo'/ wapanese/ otaku/ whatever. To me, that hints more of somebody truly, consistently obsessed with Japanese culture and barely liking anything else, rather than somebody who's simply interested by a foreign culture. I think, to be honest, it comes at least a little bit from the Internet's early days of really enjoying that kind of stuff, and a lot of the 'genuine' otaku becoming as such due to the Internet. It's like a 10-year-long kneejerk reaction.
