-snip everyone gets a perfect score on the acid3 test (since 2012)-
For me it's:
Chrome = Work, Android Sync, and Web Development.
FireFox = Facepunch, Programming, Porn, Downloading.
Still FF is my main browser cause I'm used to it. I'm not sure how you guys are clocking such usage from them though. Both have 8 similar Addons, and 40 similar tabs. Both playing one video off screen, one on screen.

Excuse the tabs, just spammed videos and porn to have an example. also excuse hardly scientific benchmarking.

Ten tabs for firefox is using 670 ish MB (not counting flash which is using 130 ish MB) and I'm not light on add ons either.
Chrome is using different fonts for lots of stuff, which is really bugging my eyes. Had to stick with Firefox even though I reached a state where I punch the wall to my left due to it's slowness.
I just wish they would revoke their dumbass version naming scheme
I have Firefox with a whole bunch of dev addons (WCAG compliance, Firebug, etc) and it only takes about ~250mb or less with several tabs open. Not sure how you guys are burning through so much ram.
I'm just glad to see improvement in FF, because that's what I use. I'm not going to claim that it is objectively better than Chrome, because they are both brilliant browsers and I occasionally use Chrome myself.
This thread is about Firefox being better than chrome now, not a year ago when chrome probably was better.
IPhone Chrome 4 lyfe

Competition is healthy it seems.
Also...

Firefox 22, IE11, Safari 5.17, Maxthon 4, Google Chrome 27. Bravo? :pwn:
not really, firefox used to be a real good browser up to 2.0.22 and after that version they somehow managed to make each version worse than the previous one. They fucked up really bad and this is why chrome is the reference nowadays, not to mention chrome's interface is really clean and convenient compared to what FF is now.
What are you talking about? Google Chrome's ui is a fucking mess compared to Firefox or internet explorer.
I have 8 gigs of RAM and I'd be fucking pissed if anything, spare a game, used that much RAM on me.
What's the point of having 8Gb of ram if you get annoyed if something uses it? Its there to be used.. What you said is as dumb as the people who moaned about Vista's funky memory stuff when it first came out.
Ten tabs, almost half that. What the heck are you doing?
I assume the memory handling on Windows isn't as good as it could be, Firefox on Windows uses a LOT more ram for me than on my laptop running Linux with almost identical plugins and identical sites loaded.
how do i upgrade from firefox 2
i've heard the new URL bar that autocompletes websites for you that you have recently visited is very cool
Note that chrome actually uses more ram than firefox.
How is Chrome with the whole "open a second tab and Chrome shits itself" thing?
I average 3 windows with about 30-40 tabs each, only had issues once. Firefox on the other hand...
Firefox for Android is an abomination of an app, every website crashes not even fucking kidding
How is Chrome with the whole "open a second tab and Chrome shits itself" thing?
Pretty good with 5 opened atm.
Weirdly, I changed from FF because it sometimes bluescreened due to some font error or something.
the only reason I hate chrome is because it sneaks itself on to computers basically like malware
I dont want to bash any of these browsers because between Chrome and Firefox, its practically a UI preference. They both do an exceptional job.
Chrome has a notable lack of Black Addon support, otherwise people seem to be porting most of the popular addons to Chrome these days. Still prefer FF for the obscure but immensely useful addons that don't seem to be worth Chrome-porting to their developers.
Opera will more than likely be exactly on par or very close with chrome when Opera 15 is main channel. Opera Next at the moment uses Webkit (Blink)
Chrome is still better.
Factually incorrect. The graphs don't lie!
been using firefox since I first found out internet explorer isn't the only browser when I was like 11.
I use both. Firefox mainly because I enjoy the more powerful extension support. I have yet to find a NoScript alternative that works half as well on Chrome, and I like some Firefox versions of addons over the Chrome versions, namely LastPass and WoT as well as AdBlock Plus. I keep Chrome around because having so many privacy addons installed tend to break some websites, like trying to log into my bank which I kind of need to do. Chrome is basically the spare tire.
[editline]1st July 2013[/editline]
Also I like the philosophy behind Firefox more than I do Chrome.
I never trust benchmarks, they often only test one specific thing that really doesn't matter to the end user, or sometimes test it wrong (Like testing just for the existence of an API, not the function. Or testing how fast a function is to call, not to run, etc.)
Note that chrome actually uses more ram than firefox.
I always find that funny, Chrome always uses more memory than Firefox does in tests, but barely anybody complains about that, while people still complain about stuff that's been fixed since Firefox 2.
Edit: And seriously guys how do you have so many issues with RAM usage, do you install every extension you can find or something?

No one else using Aurora?
Why was Safari not included? It's really a very capable browser.
