DICE's response to the decline of PC Gaming: "BULLSHIT".
I just wish they offered more "realistic" scenarios. Like one death you're out.
Thats incredibly stupid.
EDIT
I hope this game has an anti hacking system different to punkbuster.
I hated it so much in BF2 because it kept getting me kicked for pocket data or something like that.
i still dont like dice
Two years ago, maybe one year ago, people talked about “the decline of PC gaming.” Or “the death of PC gaming.” These kind of words were thrown around and, honestly, that’s bullshit.”
How is it bullshit? A few years ago I can remember most game retailers having half the shop dedicated to the PC, even PC World was mostly for computers.
Awesome. Was gonna buy this anyways.
As nice as this is, don't forget how Crytek claimed to be a PC-first developer and then released this PC demo:

And the graphics settings being "Gamer" "Advanced" and "Hardcore", with no descriptions of them or advanced options.
keep in mind it has insane physics capabilities.
the ps3 can do in-game calculations that would lag an average desktop
Computers can too (for some reasons we don't use it yet in videogames though, probably because you'd need another processor for graphics then, so another GPU). GPGPU would give us a huge boost in calculating power.
I don't really like the plot so far, like how can the USA be occupying Iraq/iran when they just got out of a world war (Which odds are they lost or stalemated) which ended up with a mainland invasion of the USA and possible capture of D.C.

Real life has this, it isn't very popular. No save points either.
JesusWare is bad at designing gameplay. The graphics are hella pretty though.

oh god did I really just say hella
I'm sorry

The demo, as they stated, was a port from the Xbox. They also said it wouldn't be the same for the actual game of course.

The reason they did this was so they could easily troubleshoot people's issues without having them list what settings they had the game on.
you people are so fast to make conclusions...

Full game will probably say "Insert Coin" instead
How is it bullshit? A few years ago I can remember most game retailers having half the shop dedicated to the PC, even PC World was mostly for computers.
then steam came along.
Im Mr.Thorn and i approve this message.

Now that would actually be awesome.
It's good to see a developer with this kind of attitude towards PC gaming.
More like a developer with a public relations team that's been told to have this kind of attitude towards PC gaming.
PC gaming will never die, mostly due to the fact that it is constant progressing. Consoles might dominate for the first few years of their release, but it's usually not long before they start to show their age. Plus soon enough console and pc gaming could end up cooperating, just look at steam cloud on ps3 which allows pc and ps3 gamers to play against each other. The only real thing that is holding gaming back is the xbox, it's so outdated and microsofts constant refusal to invest in new things like steam cloud for consoles due to their unyielding attitude when it comes to anything remotely free, always insisting on charging for everything.

Because a lot of sales are being done via digital download and sites like play.com, taking a lot of profit from street retailers.
you know why its bullshit?
because nerds cant play WoW on xbox and ps3

You know why it's true?
Built-in Auto Aims on FPS's are for pussies.
-snip-
bf3 is getting made for the consoles now?
hope = gone
I love when devs say shit like this, but DICE is doing something completely different. The community has made it clear that they want the BF2 experience with better graphics and physics, and that's it.
BF2 wouldn't work on consoles; if they're developing bf3 with consoles in mind at all it's going to seriously hinder it
[editline]7th March 2011[/editline]
pc gaming isn't "dying" but PC-exclusive blockbuster gaming has been declining significantly.
I thought this was neat until they started saying that they were going to give the PC extra shit for free post-launch. Don't get me wrong, I'm not strongly biased one way or the other, but I don't think a dev that already kind of pissed off one community should switch sides and start pissing off the other one. Why can't DICE just give all platforms equal content?
Fuck new content, I want the starting content to be good.
Bad Company 3?

As stated, it is being developed for the PC, and then it is being ported.
Respect for DICE +10
ive only had my laptop for a year and three months and I have almost completely dropped console gaming.
I dropped console gaming when I went on xbox live and heard 10years on the mic.
Prove me wrong, dice, prove me wrong.
