Socialism doesn't work in a society like America which has such a large amount of immigrant families, sorry.
Yes, that's why the United States collapsed after social security was implemented.
Yes, that's why the United States collapsed after social security was implemented.
Obviously Medicare, Medicaid, and Welfare have brought on the destruction of our once prosperous society.
hey what's going on in this thread-what the fuck
Yes, that's why the United States collapsed after social security was implemented.
He somehow has mysteriously stopped replying. I guess we win the argument.
Socialism doesn't work in a society like America which has such a large amount of immigrant families, sorry.
Well d'uh, America as we know it were founded by immigrants :downs: Damn brits and their urge to conquer everything.
Go Manitoba woop
reminds me of this video
Although this has worked in almost evey country that has inplemented something similar(Scandinavian countries for example) a system like this would never, ever work in America. See, the thing is, even 20 years after the fall of the Soviet Union Americans are still terrified of communism and socialism(the two things are totally the same thing, right?). The culture of America, as it is now, simply can't tolerate something like this, no matter what the facts say. Ohhhh, and I would know! I spend two years here in Florida, and let me tell you, I've had to reassure people that I'm not some communist spy trying to corrupt the American people more than anyone should. And I had the audacity to make a sarcastic comment about the American health care system while my science teacher were in the same room. Had to listen to contradicting herself, telling me how fucking terrible socailsm is, and how the dirty communist cannadians let her best freinds dad die of cancer, because he had outlived his purpose or some paranoid bullshit like that.
:c [editline]28th October 2011[/editline] You're a dull economics lecture
I didn't say it was bad
I think this would be great as long as it works as it did in the study. Sadly, I've seen welfare abused first hand. Some of my relatives seem to think it's a free pass to not work.

Hmmm. Thats actually quite interesting. Now how to implement without starting the second red scare...
Well Communism is pretty much dead so I doubt there will be another red scare in our lifetimes.
Well Communism is pretty much dead so I doubt there will be another red scare in our lifetimes.
Except that there are still countries with Communist governments (even if some are only in name and not in practice) such as China, Nepal, Vietnam, and Cyprus. Even in ones where they are not the ruling party, they make up the opposition, in places like Japan and Russia.
Not nearly as strong as it was during the soviet era
Not nearly as strong as it was during the soviet era
Well no, but you have to remember that a lot of those "Communist" states at that time were either Communist in name only or Soviet satellite states. China and Vietnam are largely not Communist, and Nepal/Cyprus are fairly new in terms of their parties taking power, so they're undetermined.

How popular is the Communist Party in Russia nowadays, anyways?
