Uh where'd you get the source on EA pushing Visceral to make a F2P?
I might take Free to play slightly more seriously if they'd stop using the acronym F2P instead of FTP.

I don't know. I'd get confused as to why they are making a File Transfer Protocol -game.

I just hope they don't drag down/destroy a shitload of great studios along with them.
like omg EA is such an evil company like omg i can't believe they make profit selling games that people want to play
ugh simpletons, im gonna go play my snes now and cry to myself
a mod should change the title if there's only a slight chance of the F2P being Dead Space

Thats not why people hate EA. Though considering their stock I don't think many people want to play EA games these days.
The only thing that was scary in Dead Space was the clunky controls, as in I would be scared of not being able to shoot the damn things due to being so restricted in movement.
Dead Space 2 on the other hand was slick as butter.
I thought deadspace 1 was scary for about the first hour or 2. After that I got used to it and it stopped being scary. Deadspace 2 didn't try to be scary and instead more in your face and gory. I they decided to make 2 non scary. But 3 on the other hand doesn't even look like a deadspace game.
This is honestly like a car crash in slow-motion. It's like i'm watching Isaac Clarke flying right through the windshield. I honestly don't know what's going through EA's minds right now, but it cannot be good or sane; capitalist yes, but hardly good or sane.
yeah no one would get it confused with file transfer protocol
I've never even heard of a File Transfer Protocol, so I doubt everyone would get confused by it.
As long as it isn't too scarry and has singleplayer i am okay with it.
As long as it isn't too scarry
Don't forget, we are talking about Dead Space.
The only thing that was scary in the second one was the loud as fuck sprinkler system and alarm clocks.

FTP is already an acronym
How would a RTS dead space even work?
I've never even heard of a File Transfer Protocol, so I doubt everyone would get confused by it.
FTP has been around since 1985. A great number of people know about it.
Dead Space...MOBA.
What?! How could that work
EA is going to kill themselves if they continue the F2P trend.
Ssshh... let it happen..
What? 3 looks great
Take out the huge open sunny parts where you cover shoot other humans and I might agree.
Dead Space...MOBA.

It probably wont be a deadspace moba. Just a moba that uses the same devs. I don't think the market could handle another moba though unless EA is planning on changing the formula but I know EA and original are 2 things that are rarely in the same sentence.

Because any game with a cover system is automatically "dumbed down gritty GoW clone that is a really bad modern shooter game11!"

Also, how the fuck else is Isaac going to shoot other humans? By standing out in the open?
I think humans are the problem itself.

In the game Unitology is a HUGE religion, Isaac [sp]already destroyed two huge religious icons of theirs[/sp] and most of the government is based on that religion, I think if some guy was destroying every religious icon I would also send men to kill him, people have to put things into sense. Isaac was probably going to be thrown into that situation from the first game once the news got out that he [sp]destroyed the red marker.[/sp]

But then again I am not an adult so what do my opinions matter?

I feel like a doof for ever posting this in some other thread.
I don't get what everyone is complaining about, in my views and a lot of other people's views the majority of other companies either repeat the same product (Nintendo) or can't create games half as good as EA games, I definitely know that games are pretty hard to make. Many of the things we use are from corporations, MONEY DRIVES CREATION OF GOOD THINGS.
It takes a shitload of money to make one game just so that they could have thousands, million, or billions of dollars just to survive, if you owned a company in the ever degrading economy, you would try your best to make money as well. For those people who wish EA would disappear then you would be stuck with a million shitty games and then those other games that are made by increasingly degrading companies like Activision, and other companies and publishers that I probably don't know of.
Wanting DS3 to flop and sell like shit are unproductive shits, imagine having to walk through dark corridors and being scared by the same things over and over again for 3 games, it would be shit, crouching is a natural human action to rest or dodge something, cover is necessary when you're being shot, think about the story of it, Unitologists heard Isaac Clarke destroyed a marker or two, they would do the most they can to kill him, so human enemies are logical, Think about the story and you will understand, go to the wikia and you will see that Isaac knows how to shoot for a reason Some people are too lazy to read and jump to conclusions, The world needs money to keep itself from crumbling to one giant slum
Fair points, but you have to remember Dead Space is a horror game. If being scared for 3 games isn't for you, you chose the wrong franchise. Turning the game to an action shooter is a cop out, there can plenty of ways a horror game can reach mainstream audiences. Even in Dead Space 2 humans were this unstoppable force who were outgunning and overpowering you completely.

The ending made me feel really conflicted.
I destroyed the Marker, but caused the deaths of hundreds of people to do so.
[sp]Remember that, in order to get into the Government Sector, you have to disable a door that was keeping the Necromorphs out, which swarmed and overwhelmed the security forces.[/sp]

Sorry but its pretty fucking obvious that EA likes turning games into clones of whatever is popular.

I agree, but I don't think the corner scare would stick beyond dead space 2. Also dead space 3 will be having his batshit crazy dead space 1 like area where you're in space, by yourself, and hallucinating all over again. Like this:

Dead space 3 will preserve some parts from dead space 1 and 2 so not all is lost. IMO dead space 3 wont be THAT bad but not necessarily as good as dead space 2, maybe. The best way to see it is from a few of us getting the game in january-february, and then create a thread discussing how good-bad it is.
holy shit video tags aren't working.
