ok, the tea party is not racist, sure. but their economic and social ideas are still terrible. The fact that they want to gut social programs is terrible, the fact that they, en masse, oppose gay rights is terrible, the fact that, statistically, the majority of them think Obama was born in kenya is terrible. There are lots and lots and lots of good reasons to hate the tea party aside from them supposedly being racist. Stop acting like they're some misunderstood underdog who, if we just took the time to learn about them, we'd come to love. I understand the tea party completely and i still don't like them

There are idiots that will spout off hateful words in every large group. Not just political groups, but all groups. Intolerant people exist in every faction of society.
Then you get more than half the tea party thinking black people aren't hard working, and 88% agreeing with the recently passed Arizona immigration legislation and you realize that it isn't just a few of them that are racially intolerant. This is just a nice way of saying fucking retarded racist.
Obviously they aren't all stupid but the tea party as a whole isn't the most intelligent movement.

(don't complain about the sources, they're properly sourced)
and you seriously can't deny that the central idea of the tea party is to cut government spending, even at the expense of important social programs

What part of the AZ immigration law is racist?
Also, some dangerous rhetoric from the left:
The thing you posted isn't directly violent anyway.
If you're going to make some kind of blanket statement like "big liberal news ignores violent liberal rhetoric" you should actually find some proper violent liberal rhetoric.
The burden of proof rests with whom asserts the statement. Don't tell me to Google because I really don't care.
Neither is Palin's campaign poster. Neither is talk radio. Neither is Fox News.
Yet the news will show that while leaving out any anti conservative piece of the same nature. What happened to Obama calling Republicans "Hostage takers". What about all the political cartoons showing decapicated Bush?
Its a double standard.

it's not the good fight. It's a terrible fight. It's a fight against people who, when faced with COMMON KNOWLEDGE about the tea parties, stuff that is blatantly obvious to anyone who has ever been to one of their rallies (like the fact that they're a bunch of social conservative birthers) will insist upon that claim being sourced so they can continue to pretend that it's just some strictly economic libertarian movement

no it's not a double standard because the conservative media is just as bad as you claim the liberal media is. It's not a double standard, it's a single standard. everyone is equally shitty.
SB1070, appropriately dubbed the “Papers, Please” bill by its detractors, forces all law enforcement agencies in Arizona to ask for proof of legal residency or citizenship if an officer feels “reasonable suspicion” that a person is an illegal immigrant.
Police can basically just ask anyone who they think is an illegal immigrant for ID, and if you look at the police's track record with how they treat black people, one can assume that they will target Hispanic people for random IDing. But that's just speculation.
At worst it condones racial profiling.

I AM NOT DENYING THAT THERE ARE VIOLENT LIBERALS. I am saying that there are violent liberals and conservatives, so pointing to examples of one or the other trying to prove some point is dumb
also, I gave you your sources and you ignored them. The tea party is, without a doubt, a socially conservative movement, and you're either deluding yourself or have never been to a rally if you think otherwise

To be fair Palin posted a crosshair over a state where she wanted the senator (Giffords) and used a gun analogy, which is misleading AT BEST.
"Don't retreat, reload!" or something along those lines.
Also, Fox news has said some seriously retarded shit. Continuously emphasizing Obama's name during the 2008 election run and continuously comparing him to Osama Bin Laden. Talk show hosts making rediculous statements like saying that science can't prove how tides work.
And there's tons of videos/pictures with people saying they're going to kill Obama, it's not like liberals are the only ones.
Maybe it is a double standard but it's not like fox is a bunch of saints and the liberals are concealing absolutely everything.

Actually I was talking to him on steam and he seemed to think that because Loughner liked the communist manifesto that he might've been a left wing crazy posing to be right. He actually turned out to be rather inquisitive and just didn't want to admit that he was wrong after a few pages.

whenever something bad happens you preemptively cry "YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO BLAME TEA PARTIERS/REPUBLICANS FOR IT" regardless of whether or not that will actually happen so you can pretend to be victimized without ever actually being victimized. You are creating an argument against yourself out of thin air so you can shoot it down before it has been genuinely made. no one cares about your "boo hoo you guys are so mean to me and my conservative buddies. I come and post inflammatory statements in your threads and you guys are mean to me in response" sob story
