I wonder what Doritos is gonna do for their commercial this year.
They should do something with the Pope
Don't think I'd call them one of the best WR duos in the league, but they are good(although Blackmon is a moron) I'd rather have the Falcons/Bears/Broncos WR core
I'll put in a word of support for Green Bay since it's obligatory, my avatar being that of Commander Keen after all.
They SHOULD have been able to do it this year. With one of the best wrs duos in the game in Cecil Shorts and Justin Blackmon. If there was just a capable qb at the helm and the latter had stayed on the field, they could have been able to sneak in a few upsets to go 8-8 and nab the sixth seed.
One decent draft and Jacksonville has a chance to be a major threat to Indy.
Or they could just cut Blackmon. I'm sure the Bengals will pick him up.
Up until Week 15 Jags had a shot at the wild card.

Bears is easily the best duo. Some other teams have solid groups but Alshon/Brandon is godly.

Bengals game could be blacked out. Wow.
I've decided that the ban reason for Starpluck after Cincy wins shall be "7 men on one on side of the field goal unit."

Lol Redskins. I told my brother (a skins fan) when they drafted RGKnee that he was just a flash in the pan.
Also, if you guys can only name 3 better duos, I'd call the jags duo one of the best.
But the bears wrs are the best.

Nicks & Cruz (when healthy), Arguably Jackson and Williams, White & Julio, Jeffrey & Marshall, Nelson & Cobb, Crabtree & Boldin (Debatable), I'd say Jones & Green, Josh Gordon (By himself) and if it counts, Cameron. Johnson & Hopkins is close but just short. Wright/Hunter/Washington is close. Welker /Decker/Thomas. Shorts III and Blackmon have top 3 potential if Blackmon gets his shit straight.

Then again, the argument can be made that to produce with Henne is amazing. However, lack of receiving threats can be just as reversible an argument.
ban me for a month if the game is cancelled and they all go for some tea and cricket :^)
[sp]i dont even understand this game lol, why did yanks have to make such a complicated version of rugby?[/sp]

Two NFC South teams and not one of them is the Falcons. Didn't see that coming.
The Buccaneers looked like they had a good team at first too. Both those teams had some plain shit luck.

Falcons have zero rush defense or pass rush. Schiano just sucks monkey balls.

They've missed more than those two things most of the season. The only thing they haven't really missed is a passing attack which was still badly crippled from receiver injuries/no pass protection.
And yeah, it's a real shame about Schiano and Dominik because the actual player roster, on paper, looked really damn good to me. Best it's been since they won their Super Bowl. Coaching just killed it.

Agreed. Falcons were a train wreck waiting to happen. It's a shame Gonzo had to go out like that. I think Tampa could be a competitor next year if they fix that pass rush. Lavonte David is already a beast. I hope they get Jadaveon in the draft, would make that D elite.
In advance: whenever a game starts you don't have to consolidate your posts, this thread will just be the equivalent of a chat thread for the duration of a game.
What about the football thread in GD? I still stand by the idea that sports needs a subforum.
Make it happen Starpluck!
GD sucks no one goes there anymore
Exactly the reason sports need a subforum. There's MLB/NHL/NBA threads buried there as well
I thought it was the rules not to have a megathread in SH now
We don't make new threads for every single separate team that makes it to the playoffs and we're not going to make separate threads for each team that advances in the playoffs (except when it's the superbowl, then a new thread)
[editline]2nd January 2014[/editline]
Megathreads in the context of live/breaking threads (e.g. "Recent wall street robbery megathread") are not permitted. These are multiple fixed dates.
[editline]2nd January 2014[/editline]
Unless you guys want to? I figure it'd be borderline spamming with NFL news but then again would it even be an excessive amount threads as we're already in the playoffs (and you can make only so many new threads)?
Rate agree to make new threads for each playoff update/disagree to keep this thread.
ill take a week if the saints dont make it to the superbowl
Your who dat spirit far outweighs your common sense, brother.

If anyones ass is on the line its a mods so wherever the thread is seems to be fine to me.
