I like how the previous pope was far more conservative and right wing than the current pope but just because he was more charismatic and didn't have a really creepy face everyone thought he was awesome.
He actually thought about what he said though, didn't just spew random shit.
I like how the previous pope was far more conservative and right wing than the current pope but just because he was more charismatic and didn't have a really creepy face everyone thought he was awesome.
As I recall, John Paul II: the Revenge was more kind and grandfatherly and less of a HAVING SEX WITHOUT MAKING BABBIES IS WRONG WARRGARRBBL type of guy... But the best one was probably John 23, who said "stop saying 'we learnt from the Holy Pope's wise words that...' just say 'the pope said' next time, ok?" And he pulled that Second Vatican Council thing, which can be tl;dr'd into "this church should totally stop living in the middle ages, dammit" Too bad pretty much all of the most popular churches around are still closeminded as fuck nowadays... :sigh:
You mad?
Not even remotely funny or close, but you will be.
Haha he looked at men without shirts he must be gay hahaha Really, Facepunch?
It's not really funny either. Like at all.
He likes little boys, not grown men.
Exactly, anything with the musclemass to match him is out of his league.
I like how the previous pope was far more conservative and right wing than the current pope but just because he was more charismatic and didn't have a really creepy face everyone thought he was awesome.
Not really he was reasonably liberal as Popes go
As I recall, John Paul II: the Revenge was more kind and grandfatherly and less of a HAVING SEX WITHOUT MAKING BABBIES IS WRONG WARRGARRBBL type of guy...
Yeah sure. You just proved my point exactly. John Paul had a great public persona but, if you compare him to Benedict's recent declarations that contraception is okay in certain circumstances and stem cell research is okay for saving lives and things like that.... old man JP did nothing like that.
I prefer the pope in Angels and Demons.
Am I the only one who thinks he could gain a lot more popularity through some simple plastic surgery?
What did you guys expect him to do, look away? How rude.
In other news, the pope recognizes talent. Okay..
Haha he looked at men without shirts he must be gay hahaha Really, Facepunch?
If it was topless women you'd be making jokes too Why the double standard
Gymnastics are awesome. It's like the skills of a parkour runner/ninja/badass used in an art display instead. I wish I could do that shit.
What did you guys expect him to do, look away? How rude.
No, we expected him to do what he does with all people he dislikes: Killing them with aids. The bastard does not even have the common courtesy to deliver it to them himself.
ops an idiot
Haha he looked at men without shirts he must be gay hahaha Really, Facepunch?
Pretty sure he's gay.
when they took their shirts off i expected gay club music to come on i was disappointed
If it was topless women you'd be making jokes too Why the double standard
Hahaha he must be straight? Who would say that? [editline]15th December 2010[/editline] and also why would their be topless women in the Vatican and also I would probably be masturbating furiously
Not really he was reasonably liberal as Popes go
Yeah, he apologized for the inquisition, Galileo, etc, declared evolution to be factual, was a critic of the Iraq war, anti-capital punishment. Of course, being the leader of the world's largest church, he's still majorly conservative, but still pretty good for a pope.
He may not be gay, but telling people not to use contraceptives is a pretty gay thing to do.
He actually regretted that statement, declaring something along the lines of "I might have been a bit wrong on condoms... Oh, whatever". Didn't sound that sincere, but still is a step forward.
