Why is Valve fucking up so much recently?
They've already said they won't be working with them again, there isn't much more Valve could do other than that.
That was the first production team, KeyTV. Valve haven't said anything about this new replacement production company.
The reddit threads were removed to condense them into a megathread. And while valve will need to fix this after, there's little they can do now as using your analogy, the car is still at the mechanics. They do not have complete access to it (this is perfect world's tournament, just like DAC which this replaced), nor can the suddenly up and import entire crews to replace stadium staff and production. They have to use what they have access to in china, which is all low quality work.
Well, the megathread's OP is linking to all the removed threads, so there are no images/links to sources anymore, but I'll take your word for it. Probably someone on reddit making a mistake there.
On the subject of Valve's inaction, my point is that they were quick to make a statement about one guy making a crude joke, but something as serious as this is seemingly being ignored by Valve's PR.

I don't know dude why don't you ask the Chinese company that fucked up the tournament themselves maybe they'll know.

Did you watch the games when KeyTV ran things? I missed them. The current team is so bad, I can't believe KeyTV was worse.

Oh, I assumed this was the same company. Whoops
Did you watch the games when KeyTV ran things? I missed them. The current team is so bad, I can't believe KeyTV was worse.
I've been watching from the start and I don't really recall anything horrible that they did, just minor shit. The new team is deff worse than KeyTV.

The new team started last night, group stages was all keyTV.
I've been watching from the start and I don't really recall anything horrible that they did, just minor shit. The foundation was fucked, and the follow-up has to work with that, they may be fucking up themselves or the first fuck ups were so bad as to be impossible to mitigate.
Ah i thought they got fired on the spot. Shits fucked
wow, never expected a VIP room to look worse than my room.
are valve able to sue these people?
jesus christ what a fuck up
"DotA 2 is an ass. We won't be working with him again."
im pretty sure people said the same thing 5 years ago
Lmao esports are a gimmicky that I fully expect to be over by the end of this year
Based on what exactly, when they continue to grow, and encompass far more than Dota 2 and League of Legends tournaments, extending in to fighting games, racing games, shooters, etc.
Lmao esports are a gimmicky that I fully expect to be over by the end of this year
This isnt a setback or the start of a slow death for esports. This is just one gigantic embarrassment for Valve.
Lmao esports are a gimmicky that I fully expect to be over by the end of this year
you realize valve doesn't control all the esports, right?
Lmao esports are a gimmicky that I fully expect to be over by the end of this year
Esports were a thing long before dota2
Lmao esports are a gimmicky that I fully expect to be over by the end of this year
I don't like Esports but it's ignorant to believe it will die or shrink. It's been growing fast this decade.
Lmao esports are a gimmicky that I fully expect to be over by the end of this year
:toxx:?
But really now, Valve needs to get it's shit together cause at this rate they're going to be slipping into EA's territory of shit company.
I'm not into these things. So, the stream was fucked, all other but one team was missing and then it just ended?
Lmao esports are a gimmicky that I fully expect to be over by the end of this year
the fighting games community grew amazingly with EVO 2015 alone so good luck with that
I'm not into these things. So, the stream was fucked, all other but one team was missing and then it just ended?
Its didn't end, but crowd got sent home. Blame the city of shanghai, not the event.
And yeah, streams been fucked but the great firewall of China doesn't help (lag wise) but production has been very poor. As for teams missing, it was just opening ceremony, Chinese teams didn't want to show.
8 hours till next game.
I feel terrible for everyone involved with this event.
What's next, everyone's computer lights on fire?
Speaking of which, the staff had lost a keyboard from one of the players so the game got delayed
I love how the stream just cut out in the middle of the panel section, I guess they couldn't wait a single second longer once the games were over.
