Best Korea: Children begging on streets, army starving

I have a feeling that if there was a "takeover" of North Korea, The North Korean army would just set aside their guns and join with the south... well... Most of them, Apart from the more "Elite" soldiers of Kim Jong Il that are fed more.
If you have a whole army starving, they would surely defect. Or Revolt.
The only thing north Korea did right is maintain stability.

Oh yeah right, wooh stability!
And this is why Dictatorships don't work at all.
Wrong. In imperial China and Rome many emperors (Augustus, Emperor Wu) were progressive and "worked", as you put it. Leaders like Catherine the Great, Fredrick the Great, and Napoleon were also autocrats but ruled for the benefit of their people, not their own.
Dictatorships usually, but don't always not work.

Yeah, getting most of the nation's adult male population killed in a war is definitely for the benefit of the people. :v:

So basically you're implying that Napoleon was entirely responsible for the Napoleonic Wars? Please tell me you're not.
Also, Napoleonic Code.
Since the army are also malnourished, you'd essentially be fighting the people who are being harmed
So if the west were to go to war most of them would probably surrender or defect to the South. It'd only be the die-hard, super brain-washed minority that would continue to fight.

Are you kidding? It might be tarnished by the economic state of the country and chronic lack of modern equipment but it's estimated that the wartime strategic reserves of food for the army are sufficient to feed the regular troops for 500 days. Fuel and ammo amounting to 1.5 million and 1.7 million tons respectively are sufficent to wage war for almost five hundred days.
A large part might surrender, but not most of them. You're assuming the average KPA soldier has the common sense---or capability---to defect.

...Sure? I suppose oversimplifying the period he lived in and the actions he took into "world conquest" is what most non-Europeans do in regards to him.
Also just noticed:
IMO once all US forces are out of Afghanistan they should enlarge the US Forces Korea and ask allied countries to join them.
Wouldn't that be seen as a threatening buildup by the North Koreans, especially if you get "allied" countries involved?

They see everything as threatening, but yeah, you have a point.
here's another video proving how brainwashed these guys are, and why revolting against Kim Jong-il is harder than most people think.

This is the result of several decades of brainwashing.

You better hope she's going to South Korea
Heh. You know Australians die whenever Americans decide that's a good idea right.
America should just keep it's fucking hands to itself on this issue. Same with the rest of the world.
This apple is rotten all the way through.

Let me tell you of a story:
A doctor from Australia once went into NK illegally and was doing eye surgery to remove chataracts from people.
Once the surgery was complete, they would fall to their knees and praise their glorious leader. despite the fact that this doctor risked his life to get there and do this surgery against that very same 'glorious leaders' wishes.

That's how deep the infection runs.
Now is better than later to fix this.

Napoleon was one of the greatest leaders of a nation. Sure there was war but those were mainly started by the autocrats next door who became incredibly reactionary and did all they could to brutally crush the French revolution and kill all the dissidents involved. Napoleon brought in a massive new system of laws, he helped introduce the metric system, emancipated jewish populations, etc.

I already had an idea of how bad it was, but Jesus Christ.
