I don't see how you came to any of your conclusions here using rational thought

One day in the grim darkness of the future, you will make a post that uses actual common sense. One day.
You apparently haven't been burned time and time again by shitty SP campaigns they tack onto practically every game in the market these days.
How do you go from 20 to 6? What's in those 14 hours?
Achievement grinding. They outright said it'd be 20 hours if you chased down all the cheevos and such.
Have you watched any if the videos or live streams they've done of the game? Previews done by press as well.
Nope. Hold on. Enjoy this elevator music while I check one out..... ...nope. Nothing that impresses me very much. Looks like just another wolfenstein game to me, and that series as a whole has never held my interest enough for me to bother buying a copy.
Framerate is a limiting factor for fun. Try having fun at 12fps, it doesn't happen.
It depends on the game, honestly. I can still have plenty of fun in, say, KSP or Gmod at 12FPS. But something like Fallout crashes incessantly at that low of a framerate, and most shooters/racing games require higher framerates to be fun.
You apparently haven't been burned time and time again by shitty SP campaigns they tack onto practically every game in the market these days.
Oh, well good thing you're talking for both of us here because jesus christ, I almost forgot how to voice my own opinion. Nope, I have been. I just don't see why this game is another that will be "burning" you with a shitty 6 hour campaign. This looks like a game they're really working on to make the campaign the main deal. Maybe you know better than anyone else, maybe you're a super genius, but honestly, you're just making assumptions about things without room for your own error of assumptions. I know you'll think you're winning or something, but I'm going to be having fun.
The thing that matters the most is how those 20 hours play out, are they boring, repetitive, super long battles that take up most of the game or lots of interesting areas? 8 hours of many interesting areas > 20 hours of few areas with long ass firefights (CoD does the former with few areas and long firefights :v:)
$60 for a 20 hour game? No thank you. I will gladly wait for a steam sale on that. [editline]12th May 2014[/editline] Which is actually really disappointing because I was strongly considering buying this game at sticker price because it looks so good.
I don't know what imaginary golden age of video games you have in mind where a good solid FPS took an adult more than 20 hours to complete and cost less than $60-70 as a new release but I'm pretty certain that has never happened in this world I mean I don't remember how much Half Life 1 cost, but I know for sure it takes less than 20 hours to complete and I bet you that if you take inflation (etc) into account it cost about the same as a contemporary AAA shooter
Framerate is a limiting factor for fun. Try having fun at 12fps, it doesn't happen.
Ever played Jet Force Gemini? Boy, the N64 was not good for framerates.
1080p and 60FPS on PS3 and X360? I'm kinda doubting it.
Honestly a 20 hour FPS is something that would have stood out in the era of quake too. I don't get the whining the first few posts have.
Not this argument again... You can notice the difference i use a 120 hz monitor, i a can even see the difference between 120 and 144hz, even if you dont get 120 fps. 60 fps on a 120hz monitor is still smoother than on a 60hz one.
Sorry, I wasn't arguing I was just curious. My monitors only 60Hz so that'd explain why I've never noticed anything.
1080p and 60FPS on PS3 and X360? I'm kinda doubting it.
The guy meant current gen consoles and PC, people just misinterpreted him.
You can get it on TF2 Outpost for +/- 24 euros/33 dollar.
Those are RU/CIS, though. The cheapest ROW version there is still around those 45€.
Achievement grinding. They outright said it'd be 20 hours if you chased down all the cheevos and such.
He said nothing about achievements when he gave that 20 hour number.
So 1080p and 60fps on all platforms. I can only read "There's no special features to take advantage of the PC's superior computing power" into that. They obviously chose the lowest common denominator, and therefor it works on all systems.

I've not played a game using iD Tech 5, but it's a all-purpose engine so it's going to need to be scalable. Perhaps they are getting these numbers by running the PC version on certain settings for certain setups, rather than trying to max it out on something that can't realistically handle that.
Wouldn't "All Platforms" include Wii U? For fuck's sake, people bitch about how there aren't any games on this and yet nobody makes games for it. I just wanna shoot Nazis without having to deal with my crap pc.
"All platforms" means "all platforms that the game is available for", not that it would literally be for all platforms What next, Wolfenstein 3DS?
"All platforms" means "all platforms that the game is available for", not that it would literally be for all platforms What next, Wolfenstein 3DS?
I saw something on Wikipedia about Wolfenstein 3D for 3DS and was annoyed to quickly find out it was fake.

It would be cool if the sequel would be in Nazi occupied Japan :)

Why would Germany Occupy Japan?
Well Germany seems to pretty much own everything, they may have turned against Japan at some point in the war. I think in the reddit interview they said Japan's fate will be mentioned.
Why would Germany Occupy Japan?
because nazi's are dicks had it really happened I 100% guarantee you they absolutely would have betrayed their allies.
if the nazis occipued japan would there still be anime?

idk if i would be ok with nazi elf witch girls, or those other two things
idk if i would be ok with nazi elf witch girls, or those other two things
i think you already do know, deep within your heart
I wonder if these collectables will well tell the complete story of what happened during BJs abcence. Alternate history is my favourite type of history

I mean you just admitted you're talking out of your ass in some semi-delusional "I am above this argument" way.
Why would Germany Occupy Japan?
I even posted the picture, Jin Roh The Wolf Brigade. It's an manga/anime set in an alternative Earth where Germany won the WW2 and occupied Japan. You can see in the pictures the Nazi troopers design is basically a rip-of from the anime.
...nope. Nothing that impresses me very much. Looks like just another wolfenstein game to me
Well you'll be amazed to find that it is another Wolfenstein game! In fact, this is the thread for it! Amazing!
