Sure but you're merely the endpoint of the industry they are the building blocks of. In a sense their word is very very important.
At first the battle was like, Middle Earth versus all of Mordor, now it's like 90% of Mordor joined us. Now it's just Sauron and his flying minions (Hollywood).

If it does go through we have rights as citizens(well, some at least) to protest, even if it does end up like Occupy did. Also Apple can just hand over a few billion if we are that corrupt.
