Eh, sure, it's putting money into said economy, but more importantly they're making people aware of the census and it's importance. Part of the job is making sure people participate in the damn census, and that's what they're doing.

Might want to read the top again there. Since they started their 107 million dollar advertising campaign interest in the awareness of the census has gone down a percent.
