They pay the temps better than most jobs already, and raising awareness about something that only happens every decade is fairly important business.
So paying this channel millions is helping the greater economy?
So paying this channel millions is helping the greater economy?
He didn't imply that at all :S
omahgod the governemnt is using MY hard earned money (a penny and a half) to support an extremely important job that happens every 10 years nooooooooooooooooooooo [/every annoying libertarian and conservative in this thread] [editline]01:17AM[/editline]
So paying this channel millions is helping the greater economy?
tee hee, Scoripus doesn't understand economics
So paying this channel millions is helping the greater economy?
Eh, sure, it's putting money into said economy, but more importantly they're making people aware of the census and it's importance. Part of the job is making sure people participate in the damn census, and that's what they're doing.
It adds up. If they buy this commercial, what's stopping them from buying another? If we looked at every expenditure as "well it only cost me 2 cents :downs:", it could really add up. For instance, if I buy a meal at Burger King every day of the week, that's about $6 a day. Thats cheap! So by your logic "WHO THE FUCK CARES IT'S $6 FOR A MEAL." But then when you realize that it's $42 week, it's not so cheap anymore
why would you eat at burger king for a whole week
Because you could. I ate at a A&W/KFC for an entire 5 day period. Though it was just lunch.

$2.5 million for a once-every-ten-years event? Oh no! That'll really add up when you consider the $1.9 billion spent every single day on defence.
$2.5 million for a once-every-ten-years event? Oh no! That'll really add up when you consider the $1.9 billion spent every single day on defence.
but that's responsible spending because were stopping terrorists :911:

Since they started their 107 million dollar advertising campaign interest in the awareness of the census has gone down a percent.
People are fucking idiots. Stop bitching about 2.5 million while you could be bitching about the 700 billion dollars that "disappeared" thanks to the federal reserve, assholes.

You don't stop complaining about one high priced item you need just because there's a higher priced item you need as well.
You were pretty quiet when bush went to Iraq and pumped billions into that war.
I was? Seems to me that Facepunch wasn't even in existence when the war started, let alone me here posting about it.
I was? Seems to me that Facepunch wasn't even in existence when the war started, let alone me here posting about it.
He was pushing money into that war even after the election.
