i was expecting buttons like the ones you pin to your shirt
i was expecting buttons like the ones you pin to your shirt
and them being handed out at highschools or something

Considering credit cards are fairly rare in a lot of places in Europe, it's a fairly weak verification method.
isn't this an american company, with a .com instead of .co.uk, and would they not most likely not be hosting it out of british servers?
Lol, pornhub doesn't have an 18+.
isn't this an american company, with a .com instead of .co.uk, and would they not most likely not be hosting it out of british servers?
Looks like it works the same way as if an American show was shown on British TV: "The websites are regulated by Ofcom and the Authority for Video on Demand (ATVOD) - unlike other pornographic websites - because they provide access to videos in a similar way to adult services broadcast on television and fall within UK jurisdiction."
When I have a son, he will inherit my porn collection when he turns 10.
And then he'll be scarred for life due to all the tentacle hentai But in any case the whole thing is stupid, I guess they're only going for playboy because they're the biggest and easiest target, you can't have people enter their credit cards just to enter the damn site, you need a preview before you ever enter a credit card. And there are tons of sites that has no age control whatsoever.

I'm just thinking that even though what Ofcom did is completely legal even though the law is stupid, I'm not sure if it would be possible to effectively enforce it in this case.

I can go down and get a visa giftcard. Subverting that usage, whoo whoo!
The 'I am over 18' date of birth thing is the most useless waste of fucking time ever made Jan 1 1901 GOOD2GO
I still pick random dates even though I'm 21
I can go down and get a visa giftcard. Subverting that usage, whoo whoo!
I can verify that some sites that require a "credit card" will, in fact, take any form of valid payment to verify. I have tried it. With some websites, a Visa gift card has actually verified me. I am making sure to say some here, because certainly there are sites with more advanced payment systems that bother to check what you're using to verify.
When I have a son, he will inherit my porn collection when he turns 10.
my son would never look at me the same way again
Surely credit cards aren't effective either, what with prepaid visas being so easy to buy.
Surely credit cards aren't effective either, what with prepaid visas being so easy to buy.
Noting is effective, the government just want to make it look like they're doing something.
my son would never look at me the same way again
Your porn collection pls. Give it to me.
Surely credit cards aren't effective either, what with prepaid visas being so easy to buy.
Prepaid Visa cards are debit cards, not credit cards. Not that idea of just randomly giving out your credit card details is a good one.
Prepaid Visa cards are debit cards, not credit cards. Not that idea of just randomly giving out your credit card details is a good one.
I was under the impression they counted as credit cards, interesting. Also yes, giving your credit card details to a company that charges for things just to get access to free things seems like a disaster (and an expensive bill) waiting to happen.

Though now I think of it, whether that would allow you to bypass the system or not I don't know.
when i have kids i'll just go:" i know you'll watch porn, always check the thumbnails before watching the video... trust me"
Just use private browsing. I'd like it if my search bar didn't fill up with porn when I write www. into it.
Better not start doing this for trailers on game sites
Game sites in Germany actually have to - and do - require age validation on 18+ videos/articles now, except at night.
The 'I am over 18' date of birth thing is the most useless waste of fucking time ever made Jan 1 1901 GOOD2GO
I have seen a site where doing that redirects you to a senior web portal.
no i mean check the thumbnail as in when you mouse over it it shows tidbits of the movie wouldn't be the first time i unwittingly watched scat
I know I actually read what you said like halfway through that post but just went ahead anyway Just another good bit of advice for a 10 year old
It's funny here that we are aloud to bang from the age of 16 but not allowed to look at boobies on a computer till we are 18.
I didn't think Playboy did hardcore stuff.
I have seen a site where doing that redirects you to a senior web portal.
Link please. For research
Nothing bonds father and son like sharing a Brazzers account
I prefer Bangbros but yea same concept applies here.
I had debit card that worked in the same way as a visa credit card when I was 14. I'm not sure if that would work in their system but it's not too hard too steal mom or dads credit card either way.
Is this because there are tits on the enter button or because everybody clicks through the enter button?
I wonder that myself; it does seem a tad shitty that (useless as the 18+ buttons are) there can be hardcore anal porn on either side
Google doesn't have an age verification to search "boobies"
I don't have or want a credit card,
You ought to get one to build credit, even if you don't plan on using it.
What constitutes an "effective age-verification system" on the Internet? Apart from the fact that there is literally nothing short of sharing a Social Security Number (or UK equivalent) that could POSSIBLY give you a definite age of the user in question.
