god they already gave it a cover system
Why the fuck not, it worked in the earlier ME games.
Fuck
Wasn't Dragon Age 2 "aimed at a larger audience"?
Really? Didn't like what they did with Mass effect 2 making it more streamlined, removing the custom weapon modding, grenades and the use of a buggy to explore etc.
That launching probe got old real fast.
Missed the times fighting off giant worms in the buggy, threasher maur i think it was?
You fought a thresher maw on foot on Tuchanka. I don't think you can get any more badass than that.
Wasn't Dragon Age 2 "aimed at a larger audience"?
That's why you should be worried.
You fought a thresher maw on foot on Tuchanka. I don't think you can get any more badass than that.
Thresher steaks for months!
I don't know why people are panicking, this game got delayed so it can be "finished when it is finished."
DA2 wasn't that bad but it was still worse then the first one, but what you do expect when you release it in only a year.
I have faith with ME3, just because they want to open in to a wider audience doesn't mean it is going to be downgraded.
mass effect 2 was aimed at a larger audience and that worked fine
News:Mass effect 3 has recieved 75% less sales than expected
Quality > Quantity
So they're Dragon Ageing mass effect? BioWare has gone down the shitter.
News:Mass effect 3 has recieved 75% less sales than expected
News: Mass Effect 3 on sale! 22% off! Buy it now for a low price of 44.99$!
[sp]Did I add that is after a week it was released?[/sp]
Well at least we can enjoy the story.
wait, how is any of this bad news? why are you guys so negative about the fact that they're aiming at a wider market? Are ya'll just THAT anitsocial?
I hate it when someone does this. HE-FUCKING-LLO! This thing, you know? Mass Effect? Yeah, that. It's my favourite series. Ok? Ok. I don't want it to lose it's charm. If that's not ok with you, then nobody is fucking forcing you to comment on these threads just to say how we must love it, no matter what changes. I'm planning on spending 60$ on this. HENCE, I WANT A GOOD PRODUCT THAT I LIKE.
I hate it when people sperg about something before they actually know what's being planned and who cares what you want? BioWare doesn't just because you like a series it doesn't mean that you're the person who has to decide what goes ahead and what doesn't for Mass Effect.
wait, how is any of this bad news? why are you guys so negative about the fact that they're aiming at a wider market? Are ya'll just THAT anitsocial?
It's because BioWare were aiming at a larger market with Dragon Age 2 and look how that turned out.
I am a little worried about this, but I won't blindly hate on it because I don't know how it'll turn out yet.
Hold on a sec.
Could someone explain me why everybody is crying?
Lets not forget that even thought DA2 did the same the ME and DA teams are completely different and the story for DA2 was written by a fat Yaoi fangirl that wants a bullet putting between her eyes.
Because Bioware (a company previously known for expectational games) has been going down the shitter at a alarming rate.
One game that was made in one year.
What did you expect?
I see no videos nor reviews so I have no opinion.
wait, how is any of this bad news? why are you guys so negative about the fact that they're aiming at a wider market? Are ya'll just THAT anitsocial?
The first thing that pops into my mind when I hear crap like that is either 'what are they going to nerf or remove?' or 'what will they do to simplify the game?' I've never played a Mass Effect game, but I can sympathise with a lot of the concerned folks here. It really sucks playing a sequel, or even another game entirely, that lacks the depth, number of options and gameplay mechanics of its predecessors.
No one wants to play a sequel 'aimed at a larger audience' when that audience consits of gamers that revolve around Call of Duty.
mass effect 2 was a much simpler, streamlined version of mass effect 1, but I (I think most other people as well) prefer the simplified version.
What I think is that as long as they keep their focus on dynamic storytelling, it'll end up being a good game
I just hope Hamburger Helper isn't their lead writer.
Fuck
Didn't they say before that they would add more RPG elements into the third game?
"Mass Effect 3 Rated T for Teens!"
Quality > Quantity
If they make it for quality, I'd say they will sell more and actually get a broader fanbase. They already got a big one thanks to ME1, ME2, DA1, DA2 and the incoming Old Republic.
I mean, why would they want to broaden their fanbase by a huge amount only to lose most of it's original fanbase? Not worth it.
They may sell more, but they'll lose alot with it.
blah blah casusal blah blah dumbing down
I didn't like Mass Effect 2 because it lost the sci-fi charm the first one had, and on top of it 80% of the plot was daddy issues and building a team. Then they rode the DLC train to hell.
DLCs like Arrival should be included in the game because it's relevant to the main storyline. Shit like that makes me angry.
Not that ME1 didn't have its share of shitty DLCs and annoying features, they just removed the Mako and put in an equally annoying "probe" system.
Hopefully they capitalize the strengths of both ME1 and ME2 and please God don't shit out twenty DLCs anymore
Behold, DA2 in Space!
$20 says Shepard will have a dialogue choice where he can say "I WANT TO BE A REAPER".
