So someone clue me in on how say the Dept. Of Commerce or the BBB hasn't smitten down Comcast atleast a peg. Lobbying?
Don't they want people to use and like their service? Even if the guy was having a bad day, can't take it out on a customer.
Lol time-warner or Comcast worried about people not using the internet That's like gas stations worried about people not buying gas That's how fucking bad our situation is, they don't give a shit if they are a terrible company, they will soon own almost all of the US's cable under one roof
-snip-
Here's the full manual for Comcast customer service reps. http://www.scribd.com/doc/235832382/Comcast-Quality-Guidelines-Retention Here's a really useful piece of information from it
So that's why everyone tells to say that you're moving into an unsupported area.
They don't sound much better than Charter, who charged me for a years' worth of a cable package that I never ordered. I didn't even own a dang TV. I got put through to one of their retention "specialists," who tried to convince me that it was in my best interest to actually buy a more expensive cable package, because maybe I'd decide to buy a television if I had a good cable package to go with it! It took about three hours on the phone and a Better Business Bureau report to finally get the package canceled and a partial refund. The reason why these mega-monopolies are fighting so hard to prevent better competition, like Google, from sweeping into town is that they know they're fucked the second their customers have an alternative option. These companies have built their entire empire on, "Fuck you, you've got no choice but to stick with us."
This is why I like Verizon.
This is why I like Verizon.
They pull the same shit

Can't we all just watch our informative murder porn in peace? Either on TV or on the internet? :v:
I must be the only person to ever have a good experience with Time Warner. I've lived where they're shit, but they're still very recent in my area. I consistently get 5 down and 2 up faster than the 50/5 I pay for, and have had a single outage in the last 7 months I've had them. Also whenever I call tech support I get escalated to t2 tech support within 3 minutes, if not sooner.
I only have Comcast and AT&T available in my area, but Comcast seems to be more competent so I went with them for now. Because they both know these are my only choices, I literally have no choice but to be rekt by one or the other, and they don't even have to improve themselves because they know I have nowhere else to go. However, my bill has been steadily going up so I cannot wait to cancel when Fiber reaches my area.

Weirdly ATTs prices aren't even competitive with comcasts prices here, making ATT actually a really really bad choice.
why blame comcast i mean corporations are people and comcast person didnt do this :downs:
Because comcast specifically specializes in mass cock gobbling and general faggotry in other words fuck comcast [editline]30th January 2015[/editline] they send 3 dumb mother fuckers 1 week after another and they all tell us something different is wrong, because our fucking cable would cut in and out. one told us we had to rewire the whole house and we told him to get the fuck out
Obviously people didn't bothering reading the whole article:
Comcast spokesman Steve Kipp confirmed the Browns’ story to WIRED. “We have spoken with our customer and apologized for this completely unacceptable and inappropriate name change,” he told us via email. “We have zero tolerance for this type of disrespectful behavior and are conducting a thorough investigation to determine what happened. We are working with our customer to make this right and will take appropriate steps to prevent this from happening again.” According to Elliott, Comcast is also offering the Browns a full refund for the past two years of service.
While I'm not a fan at all of comcast, they at least are making it right. Full refund for two years is A LOT of money.
For $2400 you can call me an asshole anytime
cut me some slack the guy WAS an asshole
