seems like you are incapable of understanding the announcement
So I haven't read the the last few pages, but has anyone noticed it's crossed out now?
they reversed it, the rest still stands
But did they unban server owners?
Actions speak louder than words
They never actually stated WHO they banned, and no one has came forward about it so far. They probably only banned people who did shit like "donate to my server and you can use the butterfly knife if you dont have it ;)"
By this point, if anyone actually running legit mods like a custom weapons server with actual unique gun models and stats got banned, they'd have made a shitstorm about it and we'd all have heard about it.
It feels very weird to post on a site started because of a game mod officially allowed by this very developer team that we condemn.
It's as if the whole world's gone tits-up.
Seeing as i've spent a significant portion of my life on these forums, it's felt very weird indeed.
crates are a pretty terrible investment
A good chunk of the 3-cent cases are probably bought by people trying to make a "long term" investment, but yeah the rest is true. Regardless if they even open the crates, they're getting at least 2 cents off each one, which adds up easily.

They banned a lot of communities. Including mine. And I was running the account for the GSLT tokens. We do not supplant Valve's inventory system in anyway.
I know a lot of people are flaming Valve now and it might seem overwhelming, but like it or not they kinda deserve it after their latest choices.

Are you still banned?
Are you still banned?
Yes, the account I used for the GSLT tokens is still banned. I was very concerned about the system since it was announced. Especially since there is no security around the tokens. So I used a separate account.
The official anti-Valve Theme ladies and gentlemen.

Don't feed the animals.
What I want is explanations from Valve on this vague policy. They've gone back and forth over what is and isn't allowed. This isn't a anti-Valve crusade or anything like that. But it definitely appears that they're going overboard trying to protect their micro-transaction economy.
They then banned a ton of people with no reason given other than "you violated our policy." What we want to know is what exactly did we violate? We are trying hard to have compliant servers. We don't sell or misrepresent a player's inventory. But Valve refuses to communicate with us, or anyone else banned (other than sending canned responses on support.steampowered.com).
All this confusion wouldn't be happening if valve just TALKED with us.

Sell them somewhere other than the community market if you want to go the extra mile, they'll get money from the sales

As far as I'm aware, OPSkins doesn't use the market. I don't know how actually trustworthy it is, I only know of it because the guy who started it used to head the community I play with.

You bought CSGO for free server skins?
it's $15 which completely invalidates your phrase of "free to play model" because it is objectively not free to play
It's a Fee-to-Pay game.

I can only guess, but I am gonna assume he meant custom servers such as Zombie mod.
F-ck yeah zombie mod! Css will be
Better with more people on again!
The only reason I still love valve games is because they don't give a shit about what you do on private servers.
What happened to the era of being able to join a CS server and have wild ship-based combat, or any other ridiculous thing that developers could make?
Banning servers that aren't actually doing anything wrong, but still enabling the shit out of smurfs.
Yeah, that appears to be one of the most messed up problems. They're doing all this to stop the servers that are actually selling Valve's items, the smurf servers, etc. But all those servers had no issues under this new system. If they did get banned it was easy enough to get another account just like under VAC.

Have the zombie mod servers been taken down?
I'm severely disappointed in valve. I can only slightly understand the skin and knife plugins, but banning custom models and skin/knife changers is ridiculous. I might just be blinded by my anger, but I can only see this being beneficial to valve. And even more so is that they swept this under the rug. This should have been front page on counter-strike.net from how important this is.

it's not really that important seeing how almost nobody on r/globaloffensive even seem to care about it and they're usually the first to whine about stuff like this

It was on the first page of the subreddit, but then Valve reverted it, so it fell off. OP should have been updated to reflect it.
I'm not that upset about them banning paid inventory modifications, I'm more upset about GSLT. It goes against so much of what I've always thought good about Valve:

That's some serious shit.
Holy fucking shit, wow, they became fucking nazis, what.

So if I'm getting this right then it's not possible to have online servers anymore that aren't counter strike "the way it's meant to be played"
fucking why?
