There was only suggestion, and it was for preparing a speech for Putin in case it is needed to withdrow russian ambassador.
It is highly unlikely, cause it would be an action percieved as ill intentions towards world community.
Yeah, I agree.
The only reason Putin would need to withdraw the ambassador from the US is if he really intended to take drastic action. I'm glad that's not the case though, and I know that speeches have been prepared for leaders before for any number of scenarios.

Meh, this won't escalate further anyways, probably be ended behind locked doors or annexation of said vacation paradise for soviet officials.
I don't think the US is gonna make a move, at most maybe sanctions. Too risky for them.
I'm so glad this is happening, finally some real action going down in this world.
Woo, time for fun!
I hope Russia invades Norway soon, so they can finish off my disgusting countrymen.
They should start with you

Occupy your head in a toilet, please, it's full of shit

Hoping for more provocation. Norway needs to get occupied again, anyways.
What is wrong with you?

Thing is, how do you think this will effect bargaining with Iran/North Korea regarding their nuclear programs? If the US doesn't stand by protecting Ukraine after they gave up there nukes in 1995, their words will mean exactly nothing on the world stage.
At least that's how I would imagine NK or Iran spinning it.
Anyhow, I have a feeling this wont get any more heated than it currently is.
Anyhow, I have a feeling this wont get any more heated than it currently is.
That's what everyone said before, 'oh no, they are here to protect their interest'
Anyhow, I have a feeling this wont get any more heated than it currently is.
I really hope it won't, but there's not much more room for denial left anymore

people said exactly the same thing with the US's differing and feet dragging with Assad.
And they're right.
The US will never risk an open confrontation with Russia. Very little is worth that.

No point in snipping when people have already quoted you.
The EU foreign ministers are having an emergency meeting.
Fuck.
If this was a "hearts and minds" mission, I think Russia might have won in Crimea...
If I saw an invading force, the last thing I'd think of is taking pictures. With them.
And the seagulls have landed on russian ships in the black sea port:

"Russia invaded by birds"
To anyone who is interested in the legal side of things, this is a great read
Its an article about Georgian conflict and provides some introspect on current situation. Author said that Russian actions did set an dangerous precedent, and unfortunately she was right.
To anyone who reads this article, though, please consider that justification of Russian government is not as flimsy this time around, considering Crimea has Russian military bases and major part of population consists of ex military personnel and their families, many of whom have either double citizenship or citizenship of Russia.
Even though giving out passports to former Berkut soldiers is as shady as granting citizenships en masse in South Osetia.
No point in snipping when people have already quoted you.
That's all fine and dandy, just had to make a more milder comment as it could've been a bit too strong for some people.
"Russia invaded by birds"
CONFIRMED: Seagulls have taken over Belgorod and Kursk, are advancing deeper in direction to Moscow
UNMARKED BIRDS IN UKRAINE
YOU CAN TELL BY THEIR GEAR THAT THEY'VE MIGRATED FROM RUSSIA

Then why wouldn't Russia just go "Our bases are still our bases. Fuck with them and you fuck with us. The Russian population of Crimea is to go unharmed, and anything against Russian citizens will be met with force."
If Putin just said that, nobody would have any issues. Instead, he has to saber rattle and plop soldiers en masse.
I am getting really scared I wont be able to leave Russia on Monday.
I want to go home and at least know I will be safe.
Idc what ppl say about the USA. I am loving it more than ever right now.
Is there even prove Russians in Crimea were in any danger whatsoever?
That's what I wonder. If the Russian population in Crimea was actually flat out threatened by the Ukrainian GOVERNMENT (NOT PROTESTERS), then it would be somewhat acceptable for Russian presence.
KEYWORD: Presence
Is there even prove Russians in Crimea were in any danger whatsoever?
they obviously werent
its just an excuse
