get a grip you drama queen
Hey don't be a asshole, kiddo. Dude's a bit concerned and he has the right to be.
"waaa I need to flee an entire country just because"
"Just because". Wow. It's like you didn't even read anything in this thread at all. He's concerned that they may shut down airports in an event of escalation amongst tensions. He has the right to be more than just mildly upset.
I know knee-jerk hysterics are popular in SH but lmao do you really think that being an american in Russia has suddenly become a danger.
Then why wouldn't Russia just go "Our bases are still our bases. Fuck with them and you fuck with us. The Russian population of Crimea is to go unharmed, and anything against Russian citizens will be met with force." If Putin just said that, nobody would have any issues. Instead, he has to saber rattle and plop soldiers en masse.
Thats what he said in the speech to the Soviet of Federation (Upper Parlament) when he asked them for permission for 'peacekeeping operation'. I fear that he said it too late, though, probably he was waiting for further actions from UN. But it doesnt make much sense. Considering action of Russian government in Georgia, that statement will and is seen with mistrust and as an act of aggresion. It will probably lead to loosening of economical ties with western world, and considering recent Ruble drop to US dollar (it hit 5 year low recently), this is the last thing Russia wants. Position of Russia in the world community is not the same as that of leading European nations or USA, and any action will be criticized, except maybe inaction, anyway.
"waaa I need to flee an entire country just because"
If shit hits the fan in a grand manner they won't hesitate to arrest him. Though the chances that such a thing happens depend entirely on the diplomatic capabilities of basically every big shot in global politics(though we all know which huge country would get the shortest stick in history should a major conflict break out).
How would you feel if you visited a country on business and the threat of war and a global relations meltdown happen during your trip? Not to mention a country that has negative stereotypes about you. I dont speak Russian. I stick out like a sore thumb My peers arent taking this seriously and are out drinking and beimg obnoxious drunk Americans. I am trying my best to keep calm but its getting worse everyday.
its funny that a game developer has an established shitposter on this forum. How could giving RPGs and AAs to each house a good idea? Especially in such a divided country.
obviously you not realize that only what stops invader from taking over country, is the premise of extremely high losses in this case, tanks, APCs, trucks, helicopters and planes ... the more expensive and harder to train crew the better it's really hard to invade country, where is rifle and AT/AA weapon common ...
You think a citizen of the Czech Republic wouldn't want the return of the USSR
who said i welcome it? but Russia can now really take over Ukraine and Moldavia in one single sweep before EU realize what's up, next morning the Russia controls all the areas ... just because can roll tanks remember what they did to us in 1968

Enough time for NATO to deploy troops. Romania and Poland cand send reinforcements immediately if anything happens. So no, next morning Russia won't "control all the areas".
I know knee-jerk hysterics are popular in SH but lmao do you really think that being an american in Russia has suddenly become a danger.
Wow you're inconsiderate, even to people who support you.
you right, it's taking too long ;) , if i was Russia, Ukraine would be mine already since friday ...
"if I was Russia" lol Anyways, you have no idea what you're talking about

Ukraine has a fairly sizable army, all things considered. They still inherited a lot of what the Soviets had around there and shit. If there's any combat, Russia would have a hard time hiding it. EU would stick a finger up Putin's ass if they ever found out. Also, to the supporters of Russia in this thread, you should consider the ramifications of a fucking war and what sort of toll it would have on you and the international reputation of Russia, if NATO decides to support Ukraine. This is a flashpoint - one for the history books.
who said i welcome it?

oh well :) welcome back USSR ;)
You did? I regret purchasing BI products now.
You did? I regret purchasing BI products now.
In his defense, I don't think he was welcoming back the USSR in seriousness.
You did? I regret purchasing BI products now.
Ehh, I already did that on the launch of ARMA 3.
"if I was Russia" lol Anyways, you have no idea what you're talking about
Russia seeks to reintegrate lost territories after communism fall, this is perfect chance in fact since WW2 there weren't that many chances to massively gain territory Israel got Sinai but returned it in exchange for peace India got East Pakistan Chine got one province of India and Tibet and that's it ... no huge gain of territory in last 60y so w/e Russia can retake control w/o too much hassle is good move it's obvious there is 'support' in the East Ukraine, Crime and Moldavia to become part of Russian Federation so it's all about someone to 'use it' as excuse ... just look on South Ossetia several years ago
In his defense, I don't think he was welcoming back the USSR in seriousness.
True, but I think it's still a stupid comment
And your east coast would be occupied by Americas quick response force.
you have no idea what you talk about USA has no ships in region (and no carrier nearby) USA will not even think about direct conflict with Russia (nuclear deterrent works both way) USA will block any NATO action against Russia due to avoid the above EU has no army nor reaction forces , in fact NATO can barely do anything about protecting Balt states ... (you can find public NATO document where this is acknowledged by several generals)
