militia don't look like this neither do paramilitary who ever they are, these are formal units
Local government forces under the command of the de-facto pro-russian government led by Alexi Chaly. This title is such a scaremonger, Sobotnik is only playing into Putin's power play. They never said Simferopol was being occupied by Russia, they accused Russia of occupying Belnek airport in Sevastopol. Yet the OP implies both are being occupied by Russian military which is not THEIR accusation at all. Shit scaremongering title, shit accusation as nobody knows anything as nobody is wearing any insignia.
militia don't look like this neither do paramilitary who ever they are, these are formal units
I pretty much agree but that isn't always the case though. Look at Hezbollah for example.
I don't understand how they could have remained unknown for so long. Surely the locals have talked to them and could tell by the accent, I can tell if someone is from a city 20 miles away even if they're the same ethnicity. I can't believe the media/world are so in the dark about this.
God dammit i dont even know what i should say about this.
But you just said something about it
they look like surplus store soldiers to me and they're well funded, and have existed for decades.
And those things right there are what helped to defeat Israel in 2006.
EU/US has avoided intervention in hopes of not making this an east/west conflict, Putin has seized the opportunity since in reality it is an east/west conflict
No, it's Russia securing a very important military base it had since forever (Ukraine getting closer to EU/NATO puts it in danger in the future). That's it. Now that the ethnic russians also don't want Crimea to be part of Ukraine anymore, Russia is just taking advantage of that.
This title is such a scaremonger, Sobotnik is only playing into Putin's power play.
lol what do you mean
I don't see how anything you said refuted what I said so why did you preface it with "No,"
Because the West has nothing to do with this
There were political figures (mayor?) involved in the forming of the militias.
Let me just grab some images... This is group-pictures of people in the US Militia Movement: 90% of the guys I have seen from the militia movement at gunshows and such are very much non-uniform. They all have different dress codes, and different ways of wearing their uniforms to suit their "combat style". Hell, people who who play Airsoft and Paintball generally have better dresscode then militia units.
Please bring up points instead of stabbing at other users, it totally nullifies your arguments.
Shouldn't post a misleading opinionated title.
http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?236005-Situation-in-Crimea-*Photos-Videos* Enjoy, the thread has photos out the ass of the dudes in uniforms. From what little has been posted I don't disbelieve that it is the Russians.
Ukraine's government sucks though
Shouldn't post a misleading opinionated title.
When government officials of one of the related countries considers it an invasion, you take from the word of whoever said it.
When government officials of one of the related countries considers it an invasion, you take from the word of whoever said it.
Government officials are human, they can you know. Lie. But I don't think they are this time, I don't think it'll be a full blown invasion. It'll probably turn out like South Ossetia.
"Pfft You just gonna sit back and take that 'Murrica" Love the internet sometimes... [editline]28th February 2014[/editline] Can I make one light hearted joke?
Ahahaha I actually laughed pretty hard at that. The whole time I was waiting to get sworn in at MEPS I was thinking of that scene.
They have come to seize and destroy the Zone.
They have come to seize and destroy the Zone.
The Monolith will stop them..
http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1370688 come on now russia
this isn't suspicious in the least
I don't think anybody should jump to conclusions and specifically say that they know who these soldiers are or what their goals are. Yes, they logically could be Russian troops. But they could be a separatist Crimean militia as well.
