Did you see the jigsaw of states that mattered in Tuesday? They were considered locks for the Dems, but ended up being their entire demise.
No one expected Wisconsin, Michigan, and New Hampshire to be the focus.
They wouldn't have mattered if Trump didn't win Florida and Pennsylvania - what really won him the election. Also worth noting is that Wisconsin and Michigan have 10 and 16 EVs, respectively; only New Hampshire could really be considered a small state with only 4EVs - Trump could lose both NH and Michigan and still have 270EV as it stands. Most other states with very few electoral votes are decidedly red and not up for grabs at all - I don't really see at all that these small states are apparently the focus of the election?
Also, I didn't watch the election live, but it seems to me that New Hampshire and Michigan weren't even called yet when Hillary conceded defeat?
also the results for ohio are almost the same as the results for texas
we're at the point where texas may be considered a swing state soon, i want to see people say that the electorate matters for small states when candidates need to fight over texas
