Please, flame me for my faith.
It has nothing to do with your faith, if your religion believed murder was okay we'd hate you too, your religion isn't a free pass.
My impression of the Lutheran Church was that they were fairly tolerant, plenty of traditional elements mixed in but overall a nice bunch. I never had too much to do with them but they didn't really stand out as overly evangelical or fundamentalists.
As for other churches following their lead, my guess is only Protestant or similar chuches will follow (if they haven't already done it). Catholics and Orthodoxes are too far gone into their own beliefs to even consider changing, they have very little to do with the core elements of the Bible really.
Im confused.. What the hell is a Qeer? I thought it was just a derogatory name towards homosexuals
Nice one.
Catholic's are next in line.
I don't think that's going to happen with the current pope. Only time will tell.
"Love everyone, except for gays, disobedient children, women out of the kitchen..."
Still, this is great to see how these two groups finally been able to make peace.
The Bible says to love all human beings. But what the Bible considers to be a "human being" is subject to interpretation.
But that was an aside, I'm happy for this, I used to be a Lutheran.

This is so totally unbiblical.
They're going to get shit on by other Christians.

Hilarious, considering this is very hypocritical because their very own founder is homophobic.
The vice of the Sodomites is an unparalleled enormity. It departs from the natural passion and desire, planted into nature by God, according to which the male has a passionate desire for the female. Sodomy craves what is entirely contrary to nature. Whence comes this perversion? Without a doubt it comes from the devil. After a man has once turned aside from the fear of God, the devil puts such great pressure upon his nature that he extinguishes the fire of natural desire and stirs up another, which is contrary to nature.
- Martin Luther
Awesome. Hopefully we get a good snowball going with this decision.
