considering the fact that it takes months and months of counseling with licensed therapists before anyone begins seriously transitioning - therapists who are trained to identify people with legitimate cases of gender dysphoria: yes
if this kid can't be his gender now then what is the alternative? forcing a gender identity on him so he grows up confused? that's not fair however you put it.

Sure, he could be transgender, or it could possibly be a phase in his life, where's the slightest harm in letting him do this?
He's not having any drastic life-changing surgery or something at the age of 7.

How many precedents of early gender development do we need before people stop saying "He couldn't know what gender he is at that age, he's going to regret it later"
That's simply not true. For example, David Reimer was born a man but shortly after birth he had a circumcision that was botched. It was botched so badly that they had to remove his penis, and they reassigned him as a female, complete with hormone treatment. Despite having been told he was female and never knowing anything different I'm sure, he never accepted the role, even as a very young child.
If this was a homosexual, you transphobic idiots would preach love and tolerance, which is good. But since it's a transgender, you're suddenly "Ooooh they're too immature and ignorant for their age".
I don't think they're the ones who are immature and ignorant, finding out who you really are at 7 takes more maturity than some of you have.
