alright Dr. Yeller what makes you qualified to say that 7 is completely arbitrary but "11 or 12" isn't
He got his PhD in Bullshit at George W, Bush community college

What makes any of you qualified to say that this kid has serious issues? I wasn't aware you knew anything about this person past what you read in a news article.
And around 11 or 12 is a LONG time to keep up these tendencies. That's just what I would personally do.

well there's this thing called science
specifically psychology
it kind of deals with these things you know

I don't give two flying fucks what you would "personally do", it has nothing to do with this

You didn't even answer his question. What about ages 11 and 12 is any less 'too soon' or arbitrarily decided than age 7?
This kid just wants to live as a girl. Where's the problem there? If anything it's better to support them that young because then they have longer to decide if they're serious about wanting to change sex by seeing if living as that sex makes them feel better. They obviously aren't happy as their current sex and forcing them to live like that is just going to make them more unhappy.

Oh ok I didn't realize you personally knew this kid so that you could examine them to the point that you could confirm without a doubt they're transgender
Don't bother arguing with me if you're going to talk out of your ass

what the fuck is wrong with you?
the article makes it very clear this isn't just some phase like you seem to think
besides, her biological sex is male and she says she's female. That means she's transgender. It isn't something that needs the Meller Yeller stamp of approval. Get over it, she's transgender.
Read about gender identity disorder or read the posts of actual transgender people in this thread. All the info you need is literally at your fingertips, you stubborn mule.

Everything you just said can be turned right back around at you.

Exactly, you're basing your entire argument and acting like you know jackshit about this kid's history because of one news article.
Your argument is personal opinion just like mine because you don't really know what's going on in this kid's head and neither do I which is my point.
Exactly, you're basing your entire argument and acting like you know jackshit about this kid's history because of one news article.

Or maybe we should support the kid instead of automatically assuming that what they said is bullshit just because they apparently aren't mature enough to understand the differences between girls and boys.
Exactly, you're basing your entire argument and acting like you know jackshit about this kid's history because of one news article.
And you're basing everything you're saying on ridiculous preconceived notions of how this child should live their life
At least I'm citing actual published fact
Or maybe we should support the kid instead of automatically assuming that what they said is bullshit just because they apparently aren't mature enough to understand the differences between girls and boys.
I'm not assuming it's bullshit. I just said they're not old enough to be taken seriously yet.
Stop putting words in my mouth.
I'm not assuming it's bullshit. I just said they're not old enough to be taken seriously yet.
haha there is absolutely no practical difference
I'm not assuming it's bullshit. I just said they're not old enough to be taken seriously yet.

Oh yeah, because you know kids, they lie about what gender they are all the time! Only when they get to 11 or 12 years old do they really know what's going on, am I right?
I'm not assuming it's bullshit. I just said they're not old enough to be taken seriously yet.

No that's literally what you just said right now in this post.
And you're basing everything you're saying on ridiculous preconceived notions of how this child should live their life

I never said this child should live their life a certain way. I only said that they shouldn't be ready to say that they're transgender which is completely different.
haha there is absolutely no practical difference
One suggests that they're flatout lying and the other means it's a possibility but not to take it as fact yet.
I feel like I'm talking to 7 year olds here since you can't even grasp simple reading comprehension.
I never said this child should live their life a certain way. I only said that they shouldn't be ready to say that they're transgender which is completely different.
So
they can live their life however they want, except for the way they chose, since they aren't old enough yet, but I'm not telling them they can't, they're just too young, so they can't, but they can

They can keep doing what they're doing but I'm saying that the parents should expect the possibility that his behavior could totally stop later on instead of going ahead and assuming this child will be transgender for the rest of their life.

Something you have yet to provide adequate reasoning for. All you've said specifically is just "kids can get creative". You want to keep being vague mcvaguerton or do you have some information to share with the rest of the class?

Do you have cases of this happening to cite or are you just saying that?

and what choices have these parents made to make the child's decisions permanent
they didn't lop off the kid's dick or sew some breasts on, they let her wear girl clothes and join the fucking girl scouts

Kids can change in many ways physically and psychologically as they mature. But you should know that already.
Well at least he won't need to change his name.
To be fair to those who are saying that seven is too young know, you'll be glad to know that relatively recent studies suggest only 27% of children that experience gender dysphoria continue to do so through adolescence.
But something as trivial as joining the Girl Scouts is not a lifelong, irreversible commitment.
Even if she's age 11 or 12 and begins taking anti-androgens to prevent/delay the onset of puberty and she suddenly changes her mind, that's still 100% reversible.

I'm just pointing out that they seem to be making the assumption that their child will forever be transgender person. You've just put words in my mouth and made my argument something that it's not.

This is literally all I'm saying is that they could possibly be transgender their entire life or it's possible this behavior totally stops.
This is literally all I'm saying is that they could possibly be transgender their entire life or it's possible this behavior totally stops.
Do you have any kind of case example to cite where a kid was consistently exhibiting the signs of gender dysphoria (consistently wearing female clothes, consistently pursuing things only females do) and then just suddenly stopped?
This is literally all I'm saying is that they could possibly be transgender their entire life or it's possible this behavior totally stops.
either way
what is the risk of allowing this child to express themselves in the way they want
are you one of those "it's a threat to traditional family values" types or is it something else
Kids aren't mature enough and their brain isn't developed enough so that they could be taken seriously about this
Please don't ever have children because you obviously have never been in contact with a child before
yo dog dont even try to step that path
