• Marijuana Compounds Show Promise In Protecting Brain Cells From Alzheimer's

With such a relatively large population that have probably used cannabis pretty consistently, has there been any studies of rates of alzheimer's and cannabis use in actual people?
This has nothing to do with legalizing weed and it shouldnt. They should make this into pill form and get rid of the high marijuana gives.
But THC is what gets you high..?? CBD can do what you're asking of, but it'll only stop seizures, basically
The more research that goes into this, the better. The fact we still actively avoid promising leads in medical science 'because druggies' really grinds my gears. The fact that people will actively abuse a substance regardless of its legal status should tell those that inhibit this kind of research enough on its own. If someone wants to get high, they'll get high whether you like it or not. The least you can do is see the potential goodness in something, and work towards it. Ending the suffering of Alzheimers patients is a far greater cause than stopping a few kids smoking weed in a freaking underpass.
