Or maybe you're just unemployable compared to better competition.
Just do TAFE and get a skill set for a certain job? I did a cert 3 in pathology while I did uni and landed myself a job as a Pathology assistant after a long time of searching for a job
I'm doing a Bachelor in creative arts, why the hell would I go to TAFE on top of that
I've got enough shit on my resume but it boggles me

To get a job in the interim of studying? Why the hell else?
It baffles me how you complain about lack of job opportunities when you shove off that attitude towards putting any effort into getting it.

I'm going to fucking Uni, why would it be a good idea to go to TAFE and fork out thousands to get a job in some place that I'll more than likely leave when I graduate Uni and move onto hopefully producing shit?
I'm only looking at barebones basics right now, retail, delivery, anything like that. It's just a filler for me to do, get some money and move out.

Then you should expect to not find much work if you're after unskilled work and do not wish to better your employment opportunities.

free entertainment as dudes drag down warwick rd past the cop headquaters and get rekt, and you can have acreage like 5 mins from the cbd next to the uni. not all bad.

He's going to university to improve his employment opportunities holy shit. Everyone I know at uni works retail or something else basic while studying
In the news: nominal wages rise to keep real wages the same. This isn't really surprising because if minimum wages didn't increase every year then it would actually be decreasing in real terms due to inflation. Lots of places here pay above minimum wage anyway, even at McDonalds I earn $22.50 per hour.

This is the point that people who are against minimum wage increases don't understand. They might counter with 'it's self-defeating because increasing wages increases inflation', but the reality is that inflation is determined by many variables and inflation is a good thing (reserve banks aim for low inflation), but real wages need to be maintained and ideally real wage growth should track productivity growth. But that (real wage growth) is another story.
My base rate at Coles, packing shelves, is $21 wtf, unless you're casual because if I do casual shifts I get $25.20.

I'm also going to uni at QUT studying a dual degree of engineering and IT, and I still have free time to work and I live 1.5 hours from uni. Getting a casual job isn't hard, you just have to show dedication, usually through sport or charity work and put them in your references. Add some good grades and bobs your uncle you get a job. Once you do get a job, the first two weeks isnt to make friends but to kiss ass and work yourself into the ground, once your past that the skys the limit.
