Literally the same here, literally nobody wore a skirt and it was apparently frowned on if you did plus it was always cold.
I think the only thing separating the uniforms in later years were the fact boys blazers inside were lined with blue and girls with pink but even then some guys had pink ones because the boy ones didn't fit them properly.
It's the same in most schools here where I live except the All Girls academy's

I liked my school uniform. It was fairly smart and saved any stupidity having to worry about what clothing to wear or any possible social issues surrounding it. It's a tradition very few of us in the UK (that went to a decent school) should want repealed.
Honestly I don't really see the need for school uniforms in this day and age. A dress code? Most certainly.
I never used an uniform, interesting to see opinions of people who did.
Do girls have to wear skirts all the time, including the cold months? That sounds stupid and a great way to get colds.

It started out that way I think, but changed at some point throughout my school life. I think when I was in primary school so before 2009.

Tropical country here, I sometimes wished I could wear skirts instead of trousers :v:
