And when you take all the regions of Ukraine worth taking, who will feed the rest? You'll take your pipeline, you'll take the gas deposits and you'll leave the rest of the country in tatters. It's easy to be on the side of your country when you willfully ignore the repercussions it'll have on Ukraine's economy.
As I said we won't take any more regions, worth taking or not.
Ukraine fucked itself up by angering Donbass aka the primary source of income.
I can't be sorry for the people that fucked up their own country. Ukraine did just fine before that, but the whole "fuck off Russia, we are going to EU", and then a civil war. They had it coming.
Didn't pay for gas too.
If they really wanted the country to run they would start peace negotiations with the rebels. The rebels have already been told they are not joining into Russia any time soon, so after a cease fire they would start negotiating. Then the government would have to get the coal mines in Donbass running as soon as possible to start exporting resources to Russia and others. Mostly to Russia though, because nobody else needs that. Ditch the plans to build a fucking minefield on the Ukraine-Russia border and invest into rebuilding Kiyv, Donetsk, Lugansk and all the small towns burned. PThat will also provide people with jobs.
Then cry for gas until Russia says "Okay, once again have your gas and pay later" (it most luckily will say so). With gas get the factories running.
Then fix your destroyed argiculture and supply Russia with food, which will be ideal considering how bad Russian argiculture is. Don't know about EU, maybe supply them all.
Or maybe do something completely different, but not build a billion dollar minefield, not send more soldiers and tanks on the front line, not shell any more towns because they will be the ones rebuilding them sooner or later, and that will take a lot of cash.
Will any of this be done? Not until it all completely collapses.

You can see the Russian counter offensive underway. The pockets used to be a lot more condensed. That whole southern bulge used to not be there.

Nice propaganda machine.
Build bases on the border with Russia, put Americans in them.
And then get yelled at for our "empire of bases". Its a joke.
People seem to forget how corrupt and poor the standards of living in Ukraine is.
For the ethnic Russians in the east they see Russia as better, and at least in economic prosperity it is.
You can go on about the moral implications and who's right and wrong but I always find it a little hypocritical when Russia tries it's hand at world chess people go crazy but when the US plays with its proxies no one bats an eye.

It would seem that not everyone is of the same opinion when it comes to judging Americas foreign policy, how quaint.
It's almost as if there are millions of people in Europe that all have differing opinions and argue amongst themselves all the time, weird.

It's rumored that the whole shit originally started due to Murrica wanting to put a mil base in Crimea and making a secret pact about it with Ukraine. And that was the main reason for green men and the whole annex shit.
Just conspirancy theorizing, but food for thought.
