No they need 3 defections. They have 52 members. if 2 vote no then VP pence can vote yes and break the tie. if 3 vote no then it's 49-51 and the bill is defeated.
Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.
Seems as though the democrats were the ones singing. Not a good look, to be honest.

Can't embed for some reason, editing is broke for me.
Conflicting reports though, could be wrong. Either way, this wasn't a time for singing.
And the bill fucking passes. RIP Healthcare for close to 30 million americans.
I hope you greedy fucks rot in hell.

They don't have enough for that either
If this does pass the senate, could we expect seeing a riot, or (hopefully) an increase of riots in response to this hellish law being passed?

No because Americans don't care about anything. It'll pass without warning and there's nothing we can do about it. Riots will just prove the GOP's point.

I'd frankly love to see a riot storming of the House,Senate, and White House.
Welcome to hell!

At this point, its a great look. They're honest about it. Its gone. Everything that Obama did to try to get us to the 21st century of a country is being wiped away from Trump.
This bill is bad for the US and is going to ruin a lot of peoples' lives and budgets. But good thing that tax cut is coming so we fuck over everyone else even more

so wait, if they riot, they'll prove the GOP's point. if they don't, they'll prove they don't care about anything.
i'm very confused about what you're trying to get at here.
I'd frankly love to see a riot storming of the House,Senate, and White House.
I wouldn't. The only thing violence will do is cement this shit. Peaceful protesting is the way to go.

fix it for you.
use media tags for embedding twitter.
I'll enjoy paying higher premiums once this passes the Senate. Makes me so angry that they do this to us and sing about it. But of course, they're exempt and their health-coverage is paid by tax-payers, so they do not care.
Same shit with the overtime, they want to allow companies to choose whether or not to pay OT in money or PTO, and companies will be able to choose when PTO is allowed. It's a clear violation of workers and human rights. I have a right to be paid for my hours worked. I feel that in the 21st century, people have a right to health-coverage. People born with pre-existing conditions were literally dying before ACA because their premiums were unaffordable, or they were flat out denied, and now we're going back to that. I'm just going to have to not have health-insurance if it passes Senate. I can not afford the premiums.
I can't believe we're going back to this shit. It's morally and ethically wrong to do this to people.
I wouldn't. The only thing violence will do is cement this shit. Peaceful protesting is the way to go.
Well obviously peaceful protest hasn't worked, since the GOP literally does not give a shit about Americans that make less than $300,000 a year.
Lotta people gonna die if it passes the Senate
Which is, to put mildly, exceptionally unlikely. The Republicans have a significantly larger majority in the House, and they only barely got it through with the slimmest majority possible. They could lose twenty-some votes in the House, but only two in the Senate. And, to get that victory in the House, they had to move it significantly more over to the right, which doesn't mesh as well with the more moderate Senate.
This was really just a matter of getting it off Paul Ryan's desk, and shifting the blame to Mitch McConnel for when it dies in the Senate, in addition to getting Trump to have a "win."

Rioting and destroying property that doesn't belong to you won't win any support. It will make people even more apprehensive about speaking their opinions. It would effectively kill any kind of civil discussion by painting those who don't agree with the amendment to look like a bunch of violent thugs.
i think we should start our conversation about getting healthcare back by not killing one another now that we don't have healthcare.
I hope this affects a lot of Trump supporters in a bad way. Show them the "great America" that they voted for.
If it passes, it will.
And they'll blame Democrats and continue to vote Republican.
I wonder what it would take to convince conservatives that the GOP does not give a flying fuck about them. The GOP does everything in their power to screw over the very people that helped vote them into power. Yet they still have support. It amazes me.
I guess soon millions upon millions of people will lose their health care because the GOP had to be greedy assholes.
At least those poor poor healthcare providers will no longer be oppressed by the mean old democrats.
-snip I understand now-
I hope this affects a lot of Trump supporters in a bad way. Show them the "great America" that they voted for.
Too many will still think it's because of democrats and President Snowflake, or too many will think it makes their life better and blindly vote for republicans who voted "yes". Though those who have a clearer minds could see they made a mistake putting in those who voted "yes". All depends on how much it fucks up, I just don't want to see another loop of Dems having to fix things for a 4/5s of a decade only for them to be replaced by the blind demolition party.
I don't understand why the votes aren't anonymous. This just makes it easy for those republicans to be singled out by the GOP, and may be the reason why more didn't vote no
How can you as a voter hold your reps accountable if you have no idea what they're doing?
Medical bills account for nearly 60% of all US bankruptcies. Over 600,000 people, every single year, are financially ruined because they had to visit the hospital for something. Now, we are repealing legislation that expanded health insurance to over 22 million people, and giving more power to private insurance companies to offer worse coverage at higher rates. How is this party not the enemy of the American people, again?
Any Americans considering fleeing to Europe or Canada if this passes the Senate, I don't blame you one bit.

Property destruction can work if there's an intended target and message, like ilikecorn said.
Of course that's gonna be really hard when you have anarchists busting up Starbucks store fronts.
