I wonder if he was the kid that got stabbed/hit with a rock etc.
He certainly looks like a potential mugging victim.
Is it bad that I automatically assumed this happened in America?
if it was america he would have been shot, silly
He was actually just a winner of the ultimate fan experience where he got to experience what it's like to live in the game world!!

Considering what happened two years ago with Modern Warfare 3?
Where the idiot tried to rob someone for their game, with a pistol, and ended up trying to cock the gun for some reason only to eject his only bullet onto the street?
there is an extremely violent torture scene in the game that the IGN reviewer could barley stand to watch so there isn't any deny its violent but it shouldnt be mentioned in this context, this is literally a guy getting assaulted
Who gives a flying fuck about ign at all
At least he died in a manner true to the spirit of the game that he loved!

but he didn't die
Why buy GTA, when you can live it!
Isn't it possible that he was just mugged, and what was stolen happen to be GTA5? Rather than he was mugged because he had GTA5
Pretty much anyone walking home at one in the morning with any number of shopping bags is going to get mugged.
If anything this person wasn't even targeted for their game only the fact they had something possibly worth stealing the victim was probably brandishing essentially. They simply had never been to a midnight release before and/or clearly lacked street smarts.
