Had my 360 since launch day. Hasn't RROD'd yet.
I kept mine well ventilated (wasn't even in a computer desk or anything, was practically in the middle of the room), didn't even play it much, maybe 1-2 hours per day. Took absolute perfect care of that thing to have it RROD on me.
I had one from launch day that I abused the hell out of. I had it for three years, had it poorly ventilated, would leave it running for days at a time (up to a week on more than one occasion), and even had cats who felt they needed to piss on it for some reason. That thing only died because lightning struck while I was playing once and completely fried the thing.
lightning struck your xbox?
lightning struck your xbox?
No, lightning struck the telephone pole that connects to our house, causing a power surge.

Subterranean wires masterrace.

My 360 has RROD'd, and I only have four games. :sigh:
This happens to my cousin in his ps3, the account was closed straight away but no money was ever refunded. The hackers bought around thirteen pounds worth of DLC before it was closed. Also my cousin didn't know about it until seeing it on the credit card bill at the end of the month.
oh god, the microsoft service I personally had made me jizz, it was so simple. They were able to instantly fix the problem without much input from me. I did the web-based chat, so there may be a difference.
Glad I don't play my 360 anymore.

Doesn't exist anymore.
Actually I don't think it ever has for Xbox related things, at least not in Europe/Holland.
This is why when my xbox started overheating this year, I decided to open it up and not let them repair it... Turns out I would've paid them $100 or whatever it is to take a compressed air can and blow the wall of dust off my heatsink...
I used to have an Xbox Live account, and for some reason I was still being charged for it even though I stopped the payments about a year ago. Few months ago I realized and cancelled my card on the account. Once the membership ran out my account was suspended, because there was a 'problem with the payment options' on my account. Long story short, I had to buy another fucking month of membership to use my account again for GFWL, which is a fucking free service. Money grubbing fucks.
My account was hacked and I found the customer support to be very helpful.
This woman just had a bad case of stupid luck.
