writing on Facebook that she "deserves more than death, more than pain and more than anything that we can understand".
Then why the hell did he kill her in the first place? What a dork. Not only it did not solve the problem, but also brought pain and misery upon the innocent.
Did they blame video games this time ?
Did they blame video games this time ?
Yes
Yes
For fucks sake, I played violent video games since I was a 6 year old and I suffer from a few mental illnesses, I would never even dream of killing someone in real life. Fuck that news source.
Yes
Stupid question, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it was proven that video games doesn't cause violence in real life?
Stupid question, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it was proven that video games doesn't cause violence in real life?
Multiple times, doesn't stop them from yelling the same bullshit every time. Plus, they only look at this one way: "He is screwed up mentally because of these games" whereas the other way around ("He plays these games because he's screwed up mentally") isn't even a possibility in their minds. We're talking a few dozen basket cases per year (at best) that do this and play violent games compared to hundreds of thousands if not millions of people playing these games without ever doing anything remotely similar. They happily ignore that.
It absolutely blows my mind thinking about what could possibly cause a kid as well off as he was to claim that he needed to either kill his teacher or himself. What on earth could cause someone to be put into such a mind-set?
just to be certain, is there a SINGLE legit study which shows that violent video games increase aggressiveness? because I usually see the opposite reaction when I check the statistics myself

He likely just wanted an escape and, for him, it was either prison or death.
just to be certain, is there a SINGLE legit study which shows that violent video games increase aggressiveness? because I usually see the opposite reaction when I check the statistics myself
I've read several of the studies published about this. There are two things to keep in mind: 1. No study I have every seen has linked or even attempted to link video games with violence. They have only ever linked them with aggression. This is a very important distinction, as the definition of aggression is much more vague and broad, and does not necessitate any actual effect on the actions an individual might take. 2. There has never been any information that I have seen which would separate the aggression created by playing video games from the aggression created by playing any other game. For example, playing football also increases a person's aggression. Playing any competitive game naturally breeds aggression. Hell, I get aggressive when I play cards with my grandma. This has absolutely nothing to do with violence. It would be far more surprising and interesting if it were discovered that playing video games did not increase aggression. It would be a unique medium in that respect.
...What did the classmates do? I understand if he has a knife and is acting creepy people would be scared to stop him, But i imagine the class would run screaming or more respectably get together and try to stop the kid. But to say they all sat there and watched in horror?
dis is not our faults, blame the video games not us, we're not here to educate our kids
Life sentence is kind of overboard no matter how you put it. He needs mental help, not a prison.
Life sentence is kind of overboard no matter how you put it. At the end of the day he still murdered someone and deserves prison for it.
He needs mental rehabilitation, not a jail sentence.
Por que no los dos?
How would you react? If this happened to me I would probably be in shock and have no idea what to do.
If I was the guy who was told by this insane fuck that he was going to kill someone, I would have reported it to the cops immediately, and the school authorities, and the teacher itself. Also, Krav Maga should be mandatory for everyone in school, had anybody known Krav Maga they could easily have disarmed the guy before he could do any damage.
He probably dealt with severe stress and anxiety and felt trapped. Then again that's what the article states, there's likely more factors that haven't been revealed and probably never will.
