Nigeria. And i'm not even cocking your or guessing in the slightest. My father once tracked a mail there and took them to court too. Later he's tracked multiple mails and the majority end up down there.

Don't do that. They do have servers on the receiving end, and if they receive a reply, it marks your email as "confirmed". Otherwise, it's just a guess on their part.
