Annexing the Philippines and retaining its claim to the south china sea would be a blatant and unjustifiable act of imperialism and it would make the Crimea affair look small amd unimportant in comparison. America never wanted the Philippines, why would we want them now?

Also, I dont know what brought you to give such an aggresive and disproportionate response, that borderlines being offensive, when all I did was give facts without a disrespectful like the one you have used. Everyone who hates America for imperialism would by rightly justified in their hate by us annexing the Philippines (So a good portion of the Middle East) and would ruin any chance of us having relations with them for the conceivable future. European power's would probably universally denounce us and possibly place economic sanctions on us for doing something thats literally worse then what Russia did (which they got massive sanctions for).
