It's not.
Romney was clearly better presented, stated clearer facts, was able to properly counter almost everything Obama stated, and was able to twist and turn his negatives into positives fairly well, i.e. his state's healthcare program.
I hate Romney, and lesser so Obama, but you have to be partisaned as fuck to think that Obama was nearly as charismatic or as good in this debate.

These don't seem to be pressing issues for him. He is pretty focused on the economy and medicare. I doubt, he would really push any social issues.
Besides, he would probably want those issues to be decided on the state level.
Obama wins the elections cause that debate has no winners.

I don't mean to sound snarky here, but a fair portion of that is perspective. There are a lot of people from other countries, such as Sweden and Canada. To the rest of the world, the United states doesn't have a liberal and conservative party. Instead, they have a conservative and a extra conservative party. I mean, the Canadian government is more liberal than the democrats.
So while the forum is liberal, it is probably not to the extent many of you may think.

Yeah, but raising taxes too much can sometimes disenfranchise workers because they don't believe they will keep any of their wages, therefore making them work less. They work less, the government makes less money. Sometimes you do need to cut taxes to make more money. At the same time having taxes too low won't sway workers' productivity enough to affect tax income, therefore meaning you're comparably losing tax income.
It's all about finding that "sweet spot." It's like a supply-demand chart, it's all about finding which value that will make the most money without affecting workers' productivity.
Romney came across as being more passionate and articulate despite just spouting nonsense. I don't think America cares about the facts so Romney wins.

The best part of the debate is the next ones with Obama and Romney, Domestic & Foreign Policy where they take questions from an independent audience and then the last 90 minute full foreign policy debate. I'm pretty sure Obama is well prepared for FP and it will be definite show.

In many cases Romney sounded like he was just speaking from a memorized routine rather than putting an answer together on the spot. In a lot of cases he went ahead and repeated things that are already known to be total bullshit instead of debating.

Luckily for Romney, he has the LIEbral media on his side when it comes to wanting to bomb Iran ASAP considering how much fearmongering has been drummed up.
Oh wow this was so boring, I never realized how boring domestic policy is.
I think Romney spoke a bit better, but his behavior during the debate might hinder that a bit as well. We'll see.
