i really don't think it backfired that badly. The big bird thing is ending up to be A Big Deal and Obama's going to still be safely ahead in the swing states.
It was still putting him at a disadvantage and was in all a poor move. It didn't completely kill his election chances at all, and I mean at all, but it definitely didn't help anything.

And like I said earlier, Romney may have used this trick too early. It's kinda neat the first time, but Obama can and will quickly counter it in the rest of the debates, making it basically pointless. If Romney doesn't have any other tricks to pull during the debates, then it won't even be a contest.

He does bring up a valid point, that muthafucka's name is Mitt, and he does remind me of most of the bad bosses I have had.
I thought he became snooplion or something, or is that picture just old.
Personally there wouldnt even be that program with romney in office so the argument falls short, but its kinda reasonable.
That argument falls short because it's based entirely on supposition.
So the unemployment rate is now 7.8%
too high blame obama
So is Obama going to get education levels to western standards again this term? I heard US ranks 20+ when it comes to the basics.

depends on if we get a more bipartisan senate in the election. I think we've all observed what happens when you've got too many GOP idiots filibustering everything simply because they don't want the president to do anything, strictly out of principal; it's been a well stated goal they're going to attempt to 'pull a Carter' and do whatever is necessary to make him a one-term president. These guys even vote against things they've clearly stated before that they stand for, on things that obviously no sane person would reject, simply because it forwards this goal. If this trend keeps up, the US will remain crippled and we'll continue seeing the GOP cry out "Obama isn't getting anywhere!" in the middle of tying his shoelaces together right in front of everybody.
The main reason why my dad hates obama is because we almost lost our house after my parents were laid off and on unemployment. He applied for that new readjustment program obama was talking about and he was told that we make too much money. So ever since hes been pissed at him. Personally there wouldnt even be that program with romney in office so the argument falls short, but its kinda reasonable.
So both your parents are/were unemployed and the unemployment money they were getting was greater than what was required for the program? If so, that's a horrendous loophole.
I kinda liked Obama's "Don't boo, vote." Line at first, but he seems to be using it a lot more lately. He should change it up, even if it's something like "Don't boo, grab a Snickers."

So is he going to get in trouble for this? Having prepared statistics is a major advantage in a debate.

"I hope that kid I bullied isn't watching this oh man"
He probably had a special coating put on the handkerchief so that when he smells it the notes go directly to his brain
What is with your politicians using singular examples to prove their points? It makes no sense. One success does not mean your policies are working.

American politics makes no sense at all.

The guy who works as an animator for Family Guy and Simpsons was doing an AMA on Reddit and I saw this project he animated and I like it. (sources included)

Ok here is my views.
I'll keep it short, I choose Obama over Romney. And I choose Obama because Romney its not for the younger generation. I am the 47% that he calls lazy because I ask for help from the government, even though he has changed his views on homosexuality he has made it obviously clear that he believes marriage is between a man and woman which completely throws out a ton of peoples rights to live an equal life. Man and man or woman and woman it shouldn't matter.
Here is my final thought, as sad as it is when our seniors pass away we are the ones who will be continuing the human race. We will be the ones trying to build the economy back up, so why in the hell should the "younger generation" be forced to live in a world that doesn't support them?

Seeing it was Obama's anniversary he had gotten laid the night after the debate and got put right back on track.
But seriously Obama on stage seemed miserable, I mean seriously? Who would want to be on stage staring down a person who you know has hate for you and your actions?

look at it this way, as organizations of church and/or governmental power (in a multitude of cultures over history) hav practiced:
keep the masses stupid and poor, and they'll believe what you say and do whatever you want them to do for pitiful amounts of money, or strictly out of faith. You can control and extract wealth or increase your number of followers (thus more power) much easier if you keep the populace in such a state.
This is why it's always something politicians try-
>to reduce education, again, to bring down the likeliness citizens will know any better and just take your word, continuing to give you money/keep you in power
>to break up the concept of unions, it's all to reduce the people's voice and let corporations continue to tower in power over the single worker (which unions act as a collective corp on speaking power for many workers)
>opposing contraceptives. Poorer people would have harder times getting contraceptives if the pill or similar medicinal methods were not covered by healthcare/available at all. Birth rates would go up, ending up with low income people straining to raise low income children, ending up with those children having lower chances of getting a proper education in the long run.
>opposing abortion, most abortions are because the mother knows that she can't afford to support the child without diving into further poverty, putting both of them at risk of homelessness, lack of proper medical care, not being able to continue her own education, etc. Obviously some people are seriously disturbed by the concept of abortions after seeing all those terrible pictures of stuff on the interwebs, but doing it early isn't- let's not get into this discussion.
>then there's rape abortions, because jesus christ whoever's standing up for the rapist's parental/visitation rights is an absolute bag of dicks and should be investigated for lots of things
I could go on about the blatant base ideals to these kind of tactics, I'm not sure why people just think "he just hates that stuff because bible". I don't mean to go all conspiracy theorist sounding but come on.

Our welfare system is loaded with loopholes like that. It's also loaded with exploits that allow well-off people to collect off it as well.
