why exactly is she cut off mid-sentence after saying "john's probably right I think this has a lo-" it doesn't sound like she's saying romney was right at all so much as explaining why she had the transcript right there to nail that one on the head. Still sounds like she's backed into a corner about the discussion title of that video is grasping at straws to be sensationalist, which is ironic since towards the end she says 'they're gonna parse' in respects to the fact that people are gonna nit pick words and take things out of context to make different points

Still sounds like she's backed into a corner about the discussion
full quote
CANDY CROWLEY: Well, you know, I heard the president speak at the time. I, sort of, reread a lot of stuff about Libya because I knew we’d probably get a Libya question so I kind of wanted to be up on it. So I knew that the president had, had, said, you know, these acts of terror won’t stand or, whatever the whole quote was. And I think actually, you know because, right after that I did turn around and say, but you’re totally correct that they spent two weeks telling us this was about a tape and that that there was a, you know, this riot outside the Benghazi consulate which there wasn’t. So he was right in the main, I just think he picked the wrong word. And I, you know, they’re going to parse and we all know about what the definition of is is, but, I, uh, you know, in the end, I think John [King]’s probably right. I think this has a lot more to with jobs and the debt crisis and all of that kind of stuff. I just think that probably it was one of those moments and I could even feel that here, you know, when you say something you’re not expecting. It’s just that was the natural thing coming out of me going, ‘Actually he did, you know, call it an act of terror.’ Uh, when, you know, half the crowd clapped for that and the other half clapped for ‘But they kept telling us this was a tape, this was caused by a tape’ so, you know, in the main, the thrust of what Governor Romney was saying, which is why I went back and said that, um, but I just think he picked the wrong kind of way to go about talking about it if that makes sense.

Are moderators supposed to just jump in? I mean, I don't think the moderator should be backing up one candidate or the other.

thanks distortion. That's a LOT of "ummm, uhhh, like, you know, whatever" in there
Are moderators supposed to just jump in? I mean, I don't think the moderator should be backing up one candidate or the other.
I really doubt it and know someone official should call foul on her for it. It can be taken as her being biased or favoring one candidate over the other, which obviously is the exact opposite of her one job in this. on the other hand, calling out complete bullshit isn't biased, it's not her fault if she had to call it out on one person instead of another though she still did perfectly fine for most of it, no? I'm still waiting for people saying she's obama's lover like with biden
Obama didn't really do a great job, but he definitely did a better job than last time.
the comments were all bashing fox up until this point and then it continued [editline]e[/editline] whoops meant this for the coin toss thread but still relevant I guess
Who faxes stuff nowadays?
This looks more and more like "Romney is winning" because the media is calling it his win when in fact its up to everyone that he is just making up bullshit that can't be shown as wrong because it is so damn vague.
the news programs they have classed themselves as 'opinion programming' [editline]e[/editline] wow fox was on top of it
oh my god When I first heard about fox news I thought people were over-exaggerating when they talked about shit news reporting. Over the past few years I am now understanding the hate towards fox news. Jesus, why isn't it against the law yet? In Canada being fox news is against the law.
"being fox news is against the law" I love it also does anyone else appreciate the fact that foxes as an animal are notoriously 'sly'
"being fox news is against the law" I love it also does anyone else appreciate the fact that foxes as an animal are notoriously 'sly'
yeah it allows people to make puns out of their name
I actually haven't heard a slight at that fact before, which is surprising

So... the final showdown happens tonight. YouTube stream will be up HERE at 9 pm ET.
Can't wait to watch 2 conservative politicians bashing each other whilst lying to the public for the third time tonight.
Can't wait to watch 2 conservative politicians bashing each other whilst lying to the public for the third time tonight.
My angst meters are off the charts
People actually like American politicians?
Obama you better decimate Romney tonight.
Republicans are hilarious. They say "The Government doesn't work". Then they get elected and prove it.
These debates more comedy then they are actual politics from my point of view, which is pretty sad. Nothing new ever gets said its always constant conservative rhetoric from both sides of the two-party systems entrenched views. No actually important issues are ever touched either, its always extremely vague. They're also, in majority funded by corporations and not actual individuals. Maybe I'm too communist to fully understand how people can bear these politicians.

Unfortunately.
I hope the Debates are actually good tonight. But of course either Romney or Obama will speak over each other and they'll fight about it.
This will be the only debate I've stayed up to watch. Gon' be good Obama better win, foreign policy should be a slam dunk for him
It's time.
It's do or die for Obama. If Romney can top Obama in this debate, it's pretty much over for him. ...and here... we... GO.
Here we go folks!
47% to 47%? Why, America? Why? Do it, Obama.
