i know
i just mean the fact that xbox live is a measurement at all is a sign
a bad sign and a hilarious sign
Man Chris Matthews is drilling Romney right now.
Yes, because it's 1940 and the only country fighting Germany is Britain. Technically Ethiopia too, but fuck them.
Nah, the Ethiopians are just getting back at the Italians.
Well I guess that's that.
Time to celebrate.

Hope to Christ we'll prevail in the election.
Kinda unrelated but I saw them live a couple months back. A week or two later the RNC was at the same stadium :v:
guys can we not cite online polls AGAIN
To be fair, online polls are going to be the only sources of immediate reaction, especially this early.
Anybody see that lady on Al Jazeera who just pretended to cough to get out of a question?
I would like to again state how insulting it is to refer to America as the hope of the Earth.
Nah, the Ethiopians are just getting back at the Italians.
Well they're on the same teams and who kinda cleaned up Africa for Italy?
Rommel. And he fought for Germany.
Nah. Biden clearly won the second one.
I can see that too, but his attitude just rubbed me the wrong way.

they aren't representative at all. just wait like half an hour for flash polls. and then wait like a week to see if it actually matters(it won't)

Americans are kinda stupid and have no grasp on geography. It's why they think that Iran is a threat to Israel.
Like holy shit, that's the funniest lie I've heard all year.
Iran can't do it by sea, by land, and they can't even get near by air.
Its a shame I can't help but not support either candidate, they both hold rather extreme foreign policy views.

Immediate reaction is the big problem here. There's no analysis in that at all. Give them a day to reflect on all the points, read perspectives, fact checking etc. Gut reactions are useless and when they're anonymous and easy they don't even necessarily reflect honest opinions.
It felt like Romney was trying to wear his moderate face to try and appeal more to liberals tonight.
I can see that too, but his attitude just rubbed me the wrong way.
Ryan's a bullshit man and needs to be smacked into place.
They spent all of last year praising his tax plan, and now they want us to forget about it. Fuck that, he made something and tried to get it passed, we're gonna bring attention to it and he can't backpeddel out of his past policies.

Not really. Obama want's to increase American exports and get us out of war. Romney wants us to invade 3 countries and alienate the entire world if they even look at us wrong. Imperialism ended in the 40's.
I would like to again state how insulting it is to refer to America as the hope of the Earth.
It's American exceptionalism, and it's practically a cornerstone of American culture and politics.
It's insulting from an international standpoint, but it's not nearly as bad when you're considering the debates' true audience: America.
I like what this woman on ABC News said. "Obama humanized his policies."
Obama still vetos anything that is remotely against Israeli actions, such as condemning Israeli religious expansion via settlements in the west bank and forcing millions into poverty and unhealthy conditions for their own gain.
Americans are kinda stupid and have no grasp on geography. It's why they think that Iran is a threat to Israel.
Well, as a general statement I guess. I'm an American, by the way.
Also tonight my dad said, he's tired of Obama raising his taxes. I asked him if he meant how the taxcuts back in the bush era were ending.
"Well... yea"
But that's as far as my conversations go with Politics with my parents.
There have been moments in which the United States was a big help to its Allies, and there have been moments in which the United States has done its part to make the world a better place.
But we have also done a ton of dumb and colonial shit over the years that has piled up.
You can look at it either way. The only thing you cannot deny is that the United States has, since its inception, does, and will, as long as it is powerful, be a major force in international politics. Which is why isolationists amuse me.
"We have a post-debate poll running in the swing states and Obama was the clear winner- we'll have the full numbers soon" - PPP
I can see that too, but his attitude just rubbed me the wrong way.
Basically, with all his political experience he could literally laugh off almost anything thrown at him in debates.
Ryan has political experience, but Biden was dominant simply because he knew he had to be as aggressive as possible to make up for the lackluster first debate.
CBS snap poll of "uncommitted" viewers per Mark Blumenthal:
53% Obama
23% Romney
Can someone get me a screenshot showing the two of them out there close up? Preferably one of the screen splits. I have an idea.

When did it become patriotic to hate taxes? Someone explain this to me, because it's always struck me as off the fucking wall insane.
OK, being pissed off that someone isn't paying their fair share is reasonable. Being pissed off that your money is being horrendously misused in corrupt endeavors is reasonable. Bitching about taxes that pay for your roads, street lights, parks, any sort of public works, etc is, and will continue to be ludicrous to me.
are you going to switch their faces
No, I'm sure Reddit has that covered.

People focus on the few negative things their tax money happens to fund, while ignoring the vast majority that are actually necessary and productive. It's sad but that's what people latch onto when they don't know what it is they are trying to argue.

Its the hypocritical politicians that amuse me the most, "Bla bla bla Freedoms bla bla dictators bad bla bla supporting X and X" which of coarse does not apply so long as X dictator is friendly to the US. Democrats are just as bad as republicans when it comes to foreign policy, just less extreme.. but still extreme.
