laserguided I know you're right really but you're ruining the mood man Obama is literally Jesus and Romney is literally Hitler
Well, as a general statement I guess. I'm an American, by the way.
So am I. The general public probably can't even find Iraq on a map with only borders and no text. [editline]23rd October 2012[/editline]
Basically, with all his political experience he could literally laugh off almost anything thrown at him in debates. Ryan has political experience, but Biden was dominant simply because he knew he had to be as aggressive as possible to make up for the lackluster first debate.
Biden has about eight times as much political experience :v: The guy has been in congress since he was like the minimal age to.
So am I. The general public probably can't even find Iraq on a map with only borders and no text.
This is a sad truth. Even sadder is that the equivalents are effectively true around the world. Ask someone in Britain or France to point to Argentina.
laserguided I know you're right really but you're ruining the mood man Obama is literally Jesus and Romney is literally Hitler
I'm such a dirty commie bastard, I'll stop... for now.

CNN played a clip of Wolf Blitzer interviewing Romney when he made the remark about Russia being our greatest geopolitical enemy. After this, Wolf Blitzer: This reminds me of my interview with Romney [editline]22nd October 2012[/editline] CNN Poll in: 48 for Obama 40 for Romney
When did it become patriotic to hate taxes? Someone explain this to me, because it's always struck me as off the fucking wall insane. OK, being pissed off that someone isn't paying their fair share is reasonable. Being pissed off that your money is being horrendously misused in corrupt endeavors is reasonable. Bitching about taxes that pay for your roads, street lights, parks, any sort of public works, etc is, and will continue to be ludicrous to me.
To quote my local paper:
Taxes by their very nature reduce the freedom of citizens. Their proper role in a free society is to fund services that are absolutely essential and authorized by the Constitution (i.e. national security). We reject the use of taxation to redistribute income, fund unnecessary or ineffective government programs, or foster the crony capitalism that corrupts both politicians and corporations. Our goal is to create a tax system that is simple, flatter, fair, and transparent. A reformed code should promote simplicity and coherence, savings and innovation, and increase American competitiveness.
Note that this same excerpt comes from a paper which, on the exact same page, has an article explaining that "our country was founded upon Christian principles", "agricultural regulations are killing jobs", and how "our government has imposed burdensome regulatory and contracting barriers on small businesses". As you can tell, we have a lovely community here. [SUP][SUP][SUP][SUP][SUP][SUP]Help me.[/SUP][/SUP][/SUP][/SUP][/SUP][/SUP]

That's fucking impressive.

I laugh at people who think debates can be ties. It's a close win or defeat, but a tie cannot be reached unless it is agreed to by both parties. Debates have no room for ties , unless there's compromiss.
My brother shared this. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=423987904327623&set=a.202038856522530.49191.151385851587831&type=1 Oh god y
Obama was refering to how we don't use bayonets as primary weapons. Bayonets stopped being used as a main weapon in combat by 1840 dude.
jesus christ dude
What? It's true.
Governor Romney's closing statement was very good.

Bayonets are now multi purpose utility knives. We haven't had a bayonet charge in 60 years
What? It's true.
ok, gunfox
What? It's true.
That facial expression..
Bayonets are now multi purpose utility knives. We haven't had a bayonet charge in 60 years
Didn't the brits have one against some taliban a couple years back? Successful too, as I recall.
I don't see how people keep saying Obama won. He lied about what Romney called his "apology tour" and how he told Russia he has "more flexibility". He was recorded saying it.
It was Gurkahs and with Kukri. There was a special forces horse charge with assault rifles though. Horses are kinda better in mountains for special forces.
I missed this debate, is the general agreement that Obama won more or less? Any huge zingers or "binders full of women" gaffes?
I don't want to turn this into a war discussion thread, but aren't bayonets the worst thing to die from, next to explosives, disease, and poison gas?
Romney was also quoted aying that Iran borders Syria.
I missed this debate, is the general agreement that Obama won more or less? Any huge zingers or "binders full of women" gaffes?
CNN couldn't bring themselves to declare it a tie and conservatives are hand wringing over the fact that we still technically have bayonettes Obama won decisively
I missed this debate, is the general agreement that Obama won more or less? Any huge zingers or "binders full of women" gaffes?
Romney said the navy has less ships than it did in 1917, and Obama replied with "We also have fewer horses and bayonets." "We now have these things called aircraft carriers, and you land planes on them." Yeah, Obama won handedly. it was basically no competetion.
I missed this debate, is the general agreement that Obama won more or less? Any huge zingers or "binders full of women" gaffes?
He made a ton of mistakes. Go through it and you'll find a lot
