Way to generalize half the country into degenerate retards, bud.
it's more like 2/3 of the country tbh
How about: Not being a complete dumbfuck, leaving LOADED leathal weaponry around where kids can get them? How did this guy become sheriff? Assuming it was his gun.
How exactly do you plan on citing that?
hi [t]http://andysgunthoughts.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/img_1933.jpg[/t]
At that age you shouldn't be leaving potentially dangerous things within grabbing distance of them. Knives, guns, non-safety capped pill bottles, alcohol, or anything of the like, they will grab at it and attempt to "investigate" the unknown item, likely harming themselves in the process. My parents should never have taught me how to use and move around the step stool, 2 stomach pumps and knocking over a pack of razor blades and having to get stitches. I will never forget that stepping on a razor blade hurts less than getting the stitches for the clean cut.
BREAKING NEWS: PATRIOTIC TODDLER EXERCISES HIS GOD-GIVEN SECOND AMMENDMENT RIGHTS
Sounds like something you'd hear on the radio in the GTA series.
hi [t]http://andysgunthoughts.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/img_1933.jpg[/t]
Waiting for the nutters answers to this one.
hi [t]http://andysgunthoughts.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/img_1933.jpg[/t]
Okay, so someone painted their gun and now their less capable of thinking than you?
Okay, so someone painted their gun and now their less capable of thinking than you?
cough cough also, because making a firearm and a knife look like they came out of a 5 dollar play set for 10 year old girls you bought at walmart ranks high on the list of bad choices
Okay, so someone painted their gun and now their less capable of thinking than you?
what a piss poor retort
cough cough also, because making a firearm and a knife look like the came out of a 5 dollar play set you bought at walmart ranks high on the list of bad choices
This is completely arbitrary considering the gun used in the accident was not painted and painting your guns does not directly correlate with one's intellectual capacity. Try Again.
This is completely arbitrary considering the gun used in the accident was not painted and painting your guns does not directly correlate with one's intellectual capacity. Try Again.
It certainly demonstrates a general attitude towards firearms, which was his point.
This is completely arbitrary considering the gun used in the accident was not painted and painting your guns does not directly correlate with one's intellectual capacity. Try Again.
the fucking point was that they're treated like toys that is being treated like a toy
It certainly demonstrates a general attitude towards firearms, which was his point.
Based upon that logic then the majority of firearms owned in the south would be painted with bright colors.
the fucking point was that they're treated like toys that is being treated like a toy
How exactly is it being treated as a toy, the magazine is out, its unloaded and there's no 4 year old in the picture waving it around. Professional bowlers paint their balls and baseball teams have custom painted bats, its the same concept.
Kids these days... [sp]on a serious note I'd imagine that a sheriff would have a better check on his guns, or is this due to the fact that they are in Tennessee?[/sp]
Gun laws only turn law abiding citizens into criminals, and criminals have never and will never give a fuck about any law. We should ban drugs! Then nobody would use them or be able to get them anymore. [editline]9th April 2013[/editline] Picture the Durgs sub forum as a gun sub forum if guns were banned. You can see how nonchalant people are about illegal things, and that nobody cares what the laws are if they are intent on getting one.
Based upon that logic then the majority of firearms owned in the south would be painted with bright colors.
Nice fallacy. I'm sorry but this has nothing to do with being pro gun or against, plenty of firearm owners bemoan people's attitudes towards them. Treating them with lack of respect or painting them like toys, it all falls under the banner of Stupid.
the fucking point was that they're treated like toys that is being treated like a toy
So because someone wanted to change the colour of their gun, they're now treating it like a toy? Is that your argument? You can't change the colour of your gun or you're misusing it?

I mean, I'm trying to see it from your point of view but I just simply can't get my head that far up my own arse.
Gun laws only turn law abiding citizens into criminals, and criminals have never and will never give a fuck about any law. We should ban drugs! Then nobody would use them or be able to get them anymore.
Why make anything illegal then, by this logic? Surely if criminals will just ignore the law, it won't matter, right?

Which is pretty evident when a toddler fatally shoots someone, and it's not as though this is the first time something like this has happened [editline]9th April 2013[/editline]
So because someone wanted to change the colour of their gun, they're now treating it like a toy?
Nice fallacy. I'm sorry but this has nothing to do with being pro gun or against, plenty of firearm owners bemoan people's attitudes towards them. Treating them with lack of respect or painting them like toys, it all falls under the banner of Stupid.
Painted guns do not cause more deaths than regular guns, the death comes from the few select retards that don't instill a basis of respect and knowledge in their kids and they end up getting shot as a result.
dude, it's just an example haha, I think everyone can agree that not enough people take firearms seriously enough to use them safely and not leave them loaded, safety off, out in the open. Which is just a completely retarded generalization.
Okay, so someone painted their gun and now their less capable of thinking than you?
I highly doubt someone who's willingly painting a pistol hot pink is taking firearms ownership & handling seriously.
How exactly is it being treated as a toy, the magazine is out, its unloaded and there's no 4 year old in the picture waving it around. Professional bowlers paint their balls and baseball teams have custom painted bats, its the same concept.
Because a firearm is practically designed to kill? A bowling bowl isn't exactly easy to kill or maim with, and while it's fairly easy with a baseball bat, it isn't so easy to conceal, nor ranged. A handgun is a device in a small, handy and easy-to-use package that is capable of firing a projectile over a certain distance that can easily wreck shit on vital organs.
So because someone wanted to change the colour of their gun, they're now treating it like a toy? Is that your argument? You can't change the colour of your gun or you're misusing it?
notice how airsoft guns have an orange tip to indicate that they are toys??? also iirc if manufacturing an airsoft gun and its in bright colors that signifies its a toy see the problem here? The pink 1911 really has no indication of its lethality
So because someone wanted to change the colour of their gun, they're now treating it like a toy? Is that your argument? You can't change the colour of your gun or you're misusing it?
I think what he's at, is that people don't seem to take guns seriously enough. They are tools designed for, or at least capable of, easily killing whatever you point them at. Making them look ~cute~ and shit is stupid. They aren't cute, they are tools of destruction. Slapping a bright pink coating on them just makes them look like toys, easily confused by children, or anyone at a distance really, with actual toys (or vice versa). Pink handguards, magazines, okay yeah. Not as retarded, it still looks like a gun and not a toy. Pink frame? Pushing it, it starts looking more like a toy.
I highly doubt someone who's willingly painting a pistol hot pink is taking firearms ownership & handling seriously.
Once again its your opinion.

Actually more so. So far nobody for gun control has been able to find a solution to this argument, and until they do, guns in the U.S. aren't going anywhere. No matter how much both sides debate.
