"I met idiots so everyone must be idiots!"
reading is hard
reading is hard
No, it isn't. I read your post, and it boiled down to "this whole community must be bad because I met bad people".
Seriously? You're going to judge people who join certain communities based on the stereotypes in them instead of the obvious common interest they are each built on? That's... incredibly ignorant.
what is the purpose of a community of people who just think it's extremely special and amazing for grown men to watch a show designed for girls aged 3-10? the short answer is that those people are just really desperate for attention.
dead is way too good for those bullies. what about hanging them of the balls in a balcony
That sounds p. psychopathic.
you don't give yourself a title and base your identity on something just because you like it. there's a difference between liking something and being part of a community that resulted from it. every single person I've ever met who called themselves a brony was a complete fucking idiot. I don't see them as being any different from goths, 'fedora atheists', those kids that think they're werewolves etc. just another group of dumb people that try to use a bad community as a supliment for the personality they wish they had
Does... Does that mean I'm an idiot? D:

No, it's just a community of men who like to watch a show designed for girls aged 3-10... It isn't a community ABOUT the fact that they are that. Like, seriously, do you think they all get together and have "We're middle-aged, sorrowful men" parties? No, in fact, Bronies don't tend to flaunt that at all. Most Bronies just talk to other people who like the show, whether they be male, female, young, or old. The word "Brony" is only used within the MLP fanbase to describe fans of the show who happen to be male.
He brought it on himself watching a cartoon aimed a 6 year old girls and commiting suicide is the ultimate act of selfishness Only a piece of shit would even consider suicide, theres a thousand and one better courses of action against bullying (User was banned for this post ("Insensitive Shitposting" - Megafan))
Anyone who disagreed with me or rated me dumb supports suicide (User was permabanned for this post ("Alt of banned user" - Megafan))
what is the purpose of a community of people who just think it's extremely special and amazing for grown men to watch a show designed for girls aged 3-10?
To meet other people they can talk to about the things they like? Y'know, the purpose behind every community?
I expected the mods to support suicide all considering
Anyone who disagreed with me or rated me dumb supports suicide
I think most people are rating you dumb because you are blaming the kid who got bullied and you're a bad person for that.

I mean I saw some complete losers who were absolutely obsessed with the show to a point where it was their lifestyle but most of the people I've met are pretty cool dudes to talk to. I am sure those people you met were absolutely horrible but it doesn't really disprove that there are some cool people non obsessed with the show out there.
I think you probably understand the difference between people who watch the show that are male and people who partake in the 'brony' fad that has taken form on the internet within the last couple of years.
I've never seen this "brony fad." All I've ever seen is what I described, people who watch the show who happen to be male. Whatever you're talking about, I believe it to be some figment of your imagination.
I think you probably understand the difference between people who watch the show that are male and people who partake in the 'brony' fad that has taken form on the internet within the last couple of years.
Your problem is that you think of "brony" as a fad rather than a description.

Even then I don't see why they should be hated for that. Whatever they do in their own time is none of my business, I wouldn't expect people to judge me based on what I do in my spare time so I won't judge them.

Any furry who's into that. :U Like, seriously, this guy seems to think every brony is a horsefucker. This baffles me.
The fuck is with people and the mentality in this thread.
It seems that a person going far enough to attempt killing themselves may have finally been the shock needed to convince people that maybe one's taste in television is not something that deserves to become a matter of life and death.
I don't like bronies but fuck whoever bullied this kid. That's just wrong.
I think most people are rating you dumb because you are blaming the kid who got bullied and you're a bad person for that.
Coming from a brony lol No one would care if not for the fact the kid watched a cartoon aimed at 6 year old girls how does that justify suicide? He should have considered the other options and he's selfish because he didnt consider those options (User was permabanned for this post ("Gimmick" - Craptasket))
You realise these are regular kids? Yeah I'm sure one or two are bad and fucked up (probably due to shitty parents if I had to guess) but I'm sure the rest are just following along because you know, they're kids.
it would be pretty obvious who are the bad ones

Societal ostracism is one of the biggest factors in the commission of suicide. If he wanted to watch MLP, by golly he should be left alone like every other kid with a preference. Bullying him just because he did something that was anathema in the eyes of children who didn't know any better, and some adults in the same category, is a seriously scummy thing to do, and if not for the bullying, this kid would still be alive today. Taking this into account, I must tell you that it isn't really all that uncommon - he saw no other way out of being bullied for what he was. It wasn't the wisest decision to make, but emotional rollercoasters like this often end in tragedies.

Why are you replying to him?
If it takes less than 30 seconds an I don't even need to use my own words, I pretty much go ahead with it. It wastes their time, especially considering how dedicated he is to this. Heck you and I probably used more time up replying to each-other than it did to make that reply.

I would imagine the 11 year old that isn't selfish would be the exception. But ok, lets say kids are supposed to have their shit together by 11. What about the shining angels that were picking on him? What emotionally mature standard of behaviour are we to apply to them?
You know who buys the MLP sex toys? Any furry who's into that. :U Like, seriously, this guy seems to think every brony is a horsefucker. This baffles me.
I don't know where your brain made the connection between: they're desperate for attention = they fuck horses
kid should stay off the internet if he's 11 and thinking of suicide, that said he's prolly hanging out with the wrong clique of friends (bronies) EDIT: i said he should stay off the internet because how else is he going to know what suicide is, i thought it was obvious but clearly not
kid should stay off the internet if he's 11 and thinking of suicide, that said he's prolly hanging out with the wrong clique of friends (bronies)
if his friends were bronies, why would they bully him for being a brony
kid should stay off the internet if he's 11 and thinking of suicide, that said he's prolly hanging out with the wrong clique of friends (bronies)
The harassment occurred in a school environment, not online. Read the news story completely.
