Are we talking about that fleshlight Lyra plushie?
if it was neckbeard fapping to the show i sure could
I personally fail to see why it matters
No 11 year old should ever think about killing themselves. Ever.
holy fuck, what a bunch of insensitive assholes.
Laughter's part of the grieving process, mate.
(Even if it isn't very funny).
Guys he's a fucking 11 year old watching a kids cartoon, not a 30 year old neckbeard saying how euphoric he's feeling.
You can't really apply the general fucking "Hurr Durr he wants to fuck a pony" to an 11 year old.
Says who?
What you're saying is awfully ambiguous and loaded.
I think he's referring to previous threads like the one for Amanda Todd, which was just a train wreck in general if I remember right.
Relevant? I was somewhat surprised to see this after hearing so much about "love and friendship".

How did you buy into that friendship shit in the first place?
No 11 year old should ever think about killing themselves. Ever.
It's also a saying that gets passed around all the time, especially on the interwebs.

Love and tolerance, and it's a bullshit term used when you want to be a dick wad to others but can't handle the smallest thing yourself.
It's the right age group, not exactly the right gender.
exactly, so he deserved it.

I don't really agree with the social construction that the genders should behave in certain ways, and like certain things. Partly because I fail to see any logic behind it, and partly because it oppresses people.
Poor thing, only 11..
Kill yourself or stop watching the show. Obvious choice
Bullying is still horrible and he shouldn't have been pushed to this point.
exactly, so he deserved it.
Holy fuck, man.
I find it strange how even though this happened a week ago, it's only now getting media coverage.
It's the right age group, not exactly the right gender.
Yes, boys must like cars and aspire to do manly jobs like being a policeman and a fireman; girls must like dolls and aspire aspire to do girly jobs like being a maid or a waitress.
Oh wait, that's an archaic and idiotic notion that really needs to stop being the norm.
Kill yourself or stop watching the show. Obvious choice
How about "Let someone like something you don't WITHOUT pushing them to suicide"???
He shouldn't have to compromise anything about himself just because some cunts decided to bully him to near death over it.

Guys.
There is an Eleven year old boy, who just now tried to kill himself, because of liking something not many others agree with.
He is now in a critical condition, with brain damage.
He is now probably screwed out of a teenage and adult life.
Hell he'll probably have depression for the remainder of his youth.
I do not care that "this is the internet, and I can say whatever I please because I can't get scolded for it behind a computer".
You can at least be fucking sensible for certain topics.
exactly, so he deserved it.
Dude.
Am I the only one who's skeptical that he is actually a brony? He's 11 and probably just likes watching the show, so I think it's sorta insulting how some news sources try to portray him as one since "brony" is code for "someone who is obsessed with my little pony: friendship is magic" and has a lot of other negative connotations.
I have a bad feeling this whole situation will bring the term "brony" into the limelight.
exactly, so he deserved it.
You scum bag.

Brony is a buzzword.
How did you buy into that friendship shit in the first place?
I remember interviewing a bunch of bronies on skype last year for one of the mickey mouse classes I had take in college, they all seemed like incredibly nice people.
It's the right age group, not exactly the right gender.
when I was 11 I watched As Told by Ginger and Totally Spies get at me
Stop saying this shit
How the fuck do a bunch of nerds laughing at a joke about a kid who faces severe brain damage help said kid heal?
Like I said, even if it isn't funny.
And I was talking more about the people around him, because- In all honesty- I'll be surprised if this kid makes it. It's sad, really sad, but whatever happens in life, we just gotta deal with it. Might as well crack a few jokes about it.
Brony is a buzzword.
The obnoxious fans call themselves bronies, so how can it be a buzzword.
Of course, this was only an 11 year old kid, and I'm sure he wasn't one of those fanatics.
It's the right age group, not exactly the right gender.
At least he got one of the two.

In the case of this article, brony is a buzzword.

Yes the bullying is awful and this really shouldn't have happened, but it's not like he was gay and his liking for ponies was unchangeable. Sometimes you have to change yourself to be treated nicely, this really shouldn't have to be the case, but bullies will always go after those who are different.
