Getting behind any bullying is stupid.
It doesn't matter what age or gender he was or fuckin' whatever. If he was 20 it'd still be fucked up.
I'm really disappointed if any of this bullying among children comes from the fighting over the teen-adult fans by teens and adults.
You know, ignoring the bullies/bullying won't solve the case either.
I didn't say that, though. Of course solving bullying cases is gonna help, but if you're considering suicide, it won't make that feeling go away. It may hide it, but any other traumatic event will make it reappear.
As a matter of fact I have. Being treated like shit and getting thrown down stairwells for a year by little shits will make you feel like you've hit rock bottom.
and guess what that drives some people to??

"I didn't kill myself in that position, so nobody has any reason to!"
You might as well be telling the kid to suck it up at this point.
cool, personal anecdotes are bullshit and irrelevant
why can't we all be as cool as you, ganerumo
You people are really god damn passive aggressive.
I understand that the trooper guy got you people a bit tense but that's no reason to flip your shit.
And you're still failing to understand my point that bullying will not push a sane individual to suicide. Somehow you're mistaking it for bullying apologism and you won't change your mind.
the bullying is what leads to that broken mental state in the first place. this kid probably didn't know who to talk to, or was scared to in the first place because of a fear of said bullying getting worse. i don't know what relevance saying 'the kid should have got help' because he clearly would have if he knew he had the chance

What the fuck is wrong with you? he's a PERSON

And you're still failing to understand that bullying can push a sane individual to insanity therefor pushing them to suicide. Somehow you're mistaking it for us being tense and flipping our shit and won't change your mind.

um no i'm 'mistaking' your posts for a narrow and single minded view on bullying
As someone who's been depressed for a while and also bullied for an even longer time and who has had the opportunity to talk to psychologists, psychiatrists, formerly and currently depressed people on the matter, I think I know what I'm talking about.
Bullying will fuck up your self esteem and run you to the ground, yes. It won't bring you to the verge of suicide however, and if you are actually considering suicide, getting rid of bullies won't solve your case. Proper care will.
Not everyone is exactly the same as you
Honestly, I think the kid could've prevented this.
I ignored my bullies throughout my grade school/middle school years and most of them just gave up and moved on.
Maybe it wouldn't have worked for him in his case since he's dealing with retarded 11 year olds who think they're cool and tough for picking on him and don't know what the consequences are for those who they bully. But hey, he should've tried doing that in the first place.
This is just my opinion, but my condolences go to the family. I hope he recovers.
Edit:
I should take into account he might've had social anxiety. Thanks supersnail11.
Maybe he did have it or maybe he didn't, we don't know but it's most likely he did so you should disregard my original post.
"Psh, why doesn't he just walk away from his problems. Just suck it up and move on."
Any argument even REMOTELY relating to that, is the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard. Especially when people give personal examples. Guess what you twat, not everyone is you. And do you think that "just anyone" can walk away from there problems or make them vanish like that?
Not only is that absolutely shit advice, you've systematically insulted everyone with a problem they can't deal with by deeming their problems insignificant. Don't you think that if just walking away was the easiest solution ever, ANYONE would have done it? It's not that simple, and any dipshit that says it is has never been in a situation where a problem was imposed on them in which they were forced into a corner. No one who has been in a similar experience will ever say, "Just get over it." So think before you speak, and have an open fucking mind because no one is the same as someone else. Sorry we're not as "tough" as you, and we can't deal with certain issues by snapping our fingers and making our problems disappear.
TL;DR: People have different levels of sensitivity. Attend to them correctly because your definition of "normal" is going to be entirely different that someone else. There really isn't such a thing as, "They had no reason to get upset." That isn't your fucking call to make.

this is where i refer back to my personal anecdote post

I'm sorry what is this a religious speech
am I in the fucking great awakening here
and what the fuck are you talking about with 'well-poisoners and 'universal spirit of good tv'
I dunno if you've flipped through the TV guide lately but there is no such thing as 'universal spirit of good tv' and there hasn't been for years
My Little Pony is extremely hardly the worst thing to happen to tv, even among children's tv

that doesn't even matter to begin with, this guy is literally saying "He liked a tv show I don't. HE SHOULD DIE"

It's called social anxiety and it's when you fret over what people think of you even if you know it doesn't matter (or even if you know that they won't care). It can also be a disorder, if serious enough. Social anxiety usually goes away after the teenage years, but the disorder can stay with someone until they get proper treatment.
Hey, I watched Powerpuff Girls when I was younger. I always viewed that as a girls show really. I kept it secret from my friends and just watched it alone.
So I can't really classify this kid as a "brony"
But it was the powerpuff girls
Buttercup was hot

Well now I kinda should've elaborated more in my previous post. But you have a point with social anxiety. But not all kids have it. I guess I didn't :I

If it was an older person yeah.
But this is an eleven year old child. He doesn't really understand how to really deal with bullies and therefore, didn't know what to do.

Rule No. 1: Don't attempt to make a satirical joke on the internet.
Rule No. 2: If you're dumb enough to try, make it short, don't capitalize any words, and always end with a bunch of !'s and 1's.
Also, you're making a "joke" about a kid who is in coma.
Kill yourself or stop watching the show. Obvious choice
AAHAHHAHAHAHA
WHAT THE FUCK
Please tell me I misread that.
I don't get and likely will never get why a boy or adult male is willing to watch a show marketed towards little girls, but I do know what it's like to be bullied for liking something unpopular (for me it was Star Wars and Godzilla) to that point where I seriously believe that if it weren't for my family's love and support I might not be here posting this today (although I still carry some mental scars from that time), so for that alone I can sympathize and empathize.
Schools really need to step the fuck up and do something about bullies. I have no idea why, but teachers and other school staff seem content to do jack shit when they see a group of kids antagonizing another kid. If you're lucky they might say "stop that!", but they never actually do something that will actually make the bullies fucking STOP. And then shit like this happens, and those teachers and other staff, they never seem to learn their fucking lesson. I fucking hate it.

I'm not making a joke about the kid, I'm making a joke about trooper7.
11 years old is the correct age group for liking My Little Pony so this is bullying I can't get behind
I read that as bullying I can get behind. Shit, why did I agree with that?
It's not entirely the school's fault though. A lot of bullying goes on behind teachers backs and when they aren't able to physically observe it. Bullied children often are silent about what goes on in school because they don't want to draw more attention to themselves.
IMHO bullying is such a problem because in schools kids role models are other kids (IE insensitive idiots) rather than the teachers who they outnumber by a huge margin, which creates a vicious cycle.
That is true. The only people I ever felt safe talking to about my experience were my parents.
Eh, who cares if boys, girls or that watch it, it's just some harmless cartoon.
11 year olds don't and that's why this happens. It's okay to think "what dicks them kids are" at this age when you have a decent understanding of differences and morals, but at that age all you think is "hah what a queer watching a girls show faggot" (which is unfortunate but the brutal truth, they also don't understand how bullying affects others either)
That's severely fucked up.
I never thought this could happen, My god...
A lady who makes stuffed toys came into the value village my girlfriend works at the other day. She personally knew this kid and said she was working on a custom made stuffed My Little Pony for him.
