I'm pretty sure corn syrup isn't used that often in Coca-cola outside of the USA.
I actually purchase and import drinks from abroad when I can afford it simply because they taste better.
I drink 2-4 liters coke every week

that's pretty much your logic. Coca-cola is to blame. Also, High Fructose Corn Syrup is addictive as fuck. (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21623683)
The women became addicted to coca-cola because the pleasure caused by satisfying her high fructose corn syrup addiction was associated with the taste and feel of coca-cola, similar to how nicotine addicts prefer one brand of cigarettes.
Coca-cola has plenty of dangerous ingredients, such as aspartamine (a Monsanto-manufactured carcinogenic toxin) not to mention the dangerous levels of sugar.
There's people that diet for overconsumption of water. I guess it's the fault of the government, they put H2O in the water.
Fluoride in water ain't that great, well its ok for your teeth but not great for the stomach. As far as I know only we put it in the water here.

A person being shot at doesn't have much choice in whether they're gonna get shot. Someone drinking excessive amounts of anything most likely does.
Well then i better drink that fetus filled Pepsi!
Well then i better drink that fetus filled Pepsi!
God fucking damn it, now I can't bring myself to finish my 2 liter Pepsi bottle!
Maybe the fetus will go away when I shake the bottle hard enough.
[editline]22nd April 2012[/editline]
Oh my God! I opened the bottle after shaking it and now I got dead fetuses all over me!
Well drinking too much beer, smoking too much and eating too much junk food is obviously harmful
Wonder why there is so much negative news and shit about soda/coca cola.
I mean of course its bad for you but i drink a glass of cola every day pretty much.

Sorry but I drank plenty of coke and never I became addicted.
She had to drink tremendous amounts of coke non-stop to even begin with in order to get addicted to 2 gallons a day

You know it's more likely you'll get addicted to the caffeine than the HFCS, right?
What an idiot.
I don't think it would be very good for you to drink 2 gallons of water a day, but I doubt that it would contribute to you having a heart attack.
It won't give you a heart attack but it would indeed have the potential to kill you through hyponatremia.

are you denying that drinking 2 gallons of soda every day could contribute to an early death
[editline]1[/editline]
basically you're denying that very poor health choices contribute to shortened life spans
Shit, drinking 2 gallons of water every day will fuck you up.

why do people keep posting this as if the only alternative to drinking massive amounts of soda is drinking massive amounts of water

Drinking massive amounts of anything is bad for you.
If you drink 2 gallons of orange juice every single day, I would bet it would fuck you up just as much as Cola or Water.

No, I'm saying that this is reported like the Cola is the number one killer here where it just CONTRIBUTED to the actual death, not directly causing it.

there's no way that drinking massive amounts of water is just as bad or worse than drinking massive amounts of soda
either way who gives a fuck, making such comparisons is pointless

sure it's sensationalized but I think it's safe to assume that drinking upwards of 2 gallons of soda every day is a major factor in her death

Drinking too much water will fuck up your homeostasis: unbalancing your osmotic balance, causing your cells to take in too much water and rupture, potentially causing death. Not only that, but it will also fuck up with your electrolytes (sodium, potassium, calcium, etc.), which are vital for everything, including making ATP and brain & neuron function.
Same as if you consume too much salt, your cells will, because of osmosis, expel water, dehydrating and dying.
You guys can say drinking massive amounts of water can be bad.........
but whatta bout energy drinks like monster?
"There is no such thing as poison, only the amount makes it poison"

Drink massive amount of substance X and it doesn't really matter if it was Cola or ED, because too much is always too much.
Of cource if you drink two gallons of alcohol per day, you gonna get fucked.
Point is that if you have atleast two brain cells colliding with each other inside your head, you will realize that drinking two gallons of anything is a fucked up habit.
You can OD on caffeine.
You can OD on anything.
Too much light? Bad.
Too much sugar? Bad.
Too much sodium chloride? Bad.
Too much selenium? Bad.
Too much water? Bad.
etc.

That amount is probably even less because of what's in it.
I limit myself to one per day under normal circumstances. If abnormal circumstances kick in (kept up all night because my parents* got too drunk and started fighting was the most recent risk, though there was also having to manage all three basketball games once or twice in my freshman year) then I'll slam down another one. The reason I keep such a limit on it though is because energy drinks have such a high potency - if a man who's new to energy drinks (or hasn't had any in a long time) drinks two in one day, then he's at a high risk of having one of his organs just shut down. Even if he can slam down three or four Cokes and get little more than a sugar rush.

What the?
I RARELY drink any ED, but when I do, I usually blend them with Jägermeister and when I do that, I can easily take 2 - 4 0,5L energy drinks in a night.
Still kicking and shit.
