I admit to saying a line like "Existence causes cancer" if nobody else says something like it, because there's a fuck ton of things that are "linked" to cancer, heart attacks, cerebral palsy, erectile dysfunction, what-the-fuck-ever, and the "dangerous" items range from red wine to going outside on a cloudy day to listening to Elvis Costello. They've been appearing twice a week and with such radically different claims each time that I've decided it's best to just throw all these "studies" into the trash bin and eat whatever the fuck I want and do whatever the fuck I want. Because fuck it, most of these are lies, and we're playing slots with our lives every time we inhale. Existence does not literally cause cancer. But at the rate these "studies" are being pulled out of the ass of some random monkey in a lab coat, they might as well just say it does.
red wine is shown to reduce your cancer risk at least get the facts right in your boring cancer rants.
red wine is shown to reduce your cancer risk at least get the facts right in your boring cancer rants.
way to completely miss the fucking point Never mind that my post was about people making shit up, and let's completely ignore the fact that I followed it with something that's obviously bullshit like "listening to Elvis Costello", I said "red wine causes cancer" therefore regardless of context I must believe it to be true and people must belittle me about it at every fucking turn.
of course you shouldn't read the dailymail or any rag and believe what it says about cancer, but why not know about various things that can up your cancer risk? it's easy and fine to say "WHO CARES WE ARE YOUNG NOW" but plenty of people who die way before they had to thought the same exact thing. having a good diet, not smoking, and protecting yourself from the sun are things you should be doing anyway.
"asbestos? bah, everything gives you cancer these days" thank fuck you'll never be anywhere near government
That was found before these bullshit studies started flaring up, and probably found by someone who knew what they were talking about, so that's still valid.
so you make stuff up to prove that making stuff up is bad? or is there some other point because i'm not getting it
When I was making up the list of dangerous things, did the exact list of things truly matter? Would things be any different if I said "orange juice, yo-yos and the neighbor kid's Barbie doll"? Not really. Would it make a difference if this study said poultry was bad instead of red meat? Since medical science is actually important, yes, it would make a huge difference.
OP, please post the source to the article, otherwise I'm not even going to bother reading it (as should everyone else)
So we cant eat red meat because we die faster, Only in excess. we cant eat fish because of mercury, Only large fish, like tuna, have high concentrations of heavy metals. Smaller things like salmon don't. and we cant eat veggies because they are grown with pesticides. Buy organic, or grow your own. WHAT CAN WE EAT? A lot of things, just have to make the right choices.
I feel as if someone will rate me dumb. If you do, reply and explain why it's dumb so I don't have to ask when you do.
