Peter Brown lives in the UK, Pete Brown lives in Maryland in the US. Additionally, there is nothing into their twitter exchange about anyone being fired. Pete Brown posted a picture of something, Bob Summerwill retweeted it, then someone latched on to that tweet. Pete Brown then replied rather reasonably.

What comes next? Maybe it will get near the ps2 sales. Not saying anything about the xbox cuz it seems to have less advantages imo.

A creative director should be much more mindful of good PR and not saying dumb shit on the internet than a software engineer. And honestly? I don't think I'd fire either. The creative director certainly would be more reasonable given the different levels and responsibilities of the two employees but it would be way easier for everyone involved to pull them aside and say "Hey, you represent the company on Twitter, and some of the things you are saying are pretty controversial, can you please tone it down a bit?". While I do agree that the WiiU was a bit of a flop he still needed to act professional. Taking the piss out on Nintendo has kind of become the thing to do since they really haven't been doing too hot. The motion control fad is sort of like 3D; the idea is neat and with the right technology it could be great. As of now though it's too much of a chore and a bit too buggy.
